The first thing that I noticed about this book was that it had a slow beginning and it took me around 50 pages to fully get into it.

My main reason for reading it was because my friend had read it an loved it and ACOMAF had just come out and it was overhyped.

I didn't like Tamlin, even though he was wrote in a way that could make him likeable. I did however like Lucien, he was and still is my favourite character, along with another.

I found parts of the ending, particularly the last 50 pages confusing. I did, however, already know the answer to the riddle and I found that it was simple to figure out.

I found that Amarantha was, for the most part, the cliche evil queen and she reminded me of the queen from Lament.

As I was reading it, Rhysand was my favourite character even though Lucien described him as 'Amarantha's Whore' I knew that he was helping Feyre with her trials and that he wasn't as bad as Tamlin had been describing him

To be honest, I was happy when I had finished it but I am still excited to read the next one and can't wait to see how the story progresses

I wasn't expecting the reasons behind what Amarantha was doing and though I understood her actions and had some sympathy for her I still didn't like her
