At first i wasn't sure what i would think of this book because of the way that it started and i had never read a book of this type before

There were times throughout the book that I didn't really connect with the character because of the age gap but this didn't make the book any less enjoyable

I'm not the type of person to enjoy short stories, even if they are companions to books I loved, but this one changed my mind on them. It provided the perfect bridge between the books about Johnny and Meg to the beginning of the Jessie trilogy and filled in any gaps and plot holes that were left

This will contain minor spoilers

I have started this book in the past but for some reason i never ended up finishing it, something that i always wanted to do

The main reason that I picked up this book was because I ended up buying the complete series on Amazon and remembered just how excited i had first been to read it

I know that the reason that most people don't like this series is because of America and i have seen some people call her whiny, and honestly i wouldn't describe her in that way. She wouldn't be one of my favourite characters but I definitely wouldn't say that she made this book any less enjoyable

The big problem for me was the way that the other girls acted, i know that they are supposed to come across in the way that they do but there was still something about it that bothered me and i can't describe it

The thing that made this book ten times better than just the plot or some of the characters was Maxon, total book boyfriend material for me. I love his teasing relationship with America and the way that you can see him slowly falling for her, and the same for her

I would say that, even from the beginning, i wasn't a big fan of Aspen, i don't think that it was anything specific about him or his character, he just wasn't a favourite of mine

Overall i am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series
