Duet narration performed by Mollie Stark & Aiden Snow

• Age Gap • Ex-Boyfriend’s Older Brother • Small Town • Workplace • Grumpy/Sunshine • Slow Burn •

Loved this age gap, ex’s brother, workplace romance! Daphne did a great job highlighting the stark differences between a twenty-something’s mentality and a nearly forty year old’s thought processes. Owen is so much more willing to just live in the moment and assured they’ll figure things out, while Lila is still set on her rigid plan and worried about others’ perceptions. But Owen is such a green flag guy! Zero pressure, super supportive, and interested in learning not just Lila’s interests, but things to accommodate her needs and to care for her. The off-limits aspect made the tension fun and exciting!

I also really enjoyed the large family dynamic that Owen returns home too. The family love is one many desire, event with some tension between a couple members.

Mollie was the perfect Lila, full of sunshine and confident, projecting an independent, intelligent twenty-something woman very well. And Aiden was fabulous as Owen. Grumpy, mature, and growly! And the duet narration was performed perfect!

Low stakes, light-hearted, feel good secret baby romance. The characters were great but a lot of the MMCs character development depends on his portrayal in the other books in the series. But he did end up being the sweetest, most loving and caring father.

Dual narration performed by Angelina Rocca & Jack Calihan

• Billionaire • Grumpy/Sunshine • Best Friend’s Brother • Age Gap • Workplace Romance • Surprise Pregnancy •

Love Gannon & Carys’s story! He’s so grumpy and she’s just such a ray of sunshine. Her plant business brings her to his office but her personality and persistence are what grabs his attention. I loved all the very forward flirty and innuendos, particularly on Carys’s part. And the mouth of Gannon is 🥵! The sneaking around made things so exciting!

Angelina and Jack were fantastic in this dual narration. They both did amazing bringing the characters to life. Jack has that more mature voice that I imagined Gannon having and Angelina does flirty and sultry so well!

DUAL narration performed by Lucy Rivers & James Cassidy

• Age Gap (older FMC) • Strangers to Lovers • Time Locked • Widow • Instalove •

What a fun listen! She’s going on vacation with her friends to a nudist resort and he’s the interim general manager of that resort. The attraction is instant and the spice starts fairly early. Low stakes/low drama. Just lots of fun.

I did feel like the end dragged on a bit due to the author trying to tie it to the rest of the series and taking us to visit the previous MCs and resorts.

Lucy & James knocked it out of the park!! They both did amazing! Really great job, I almost forgot it was Dual narration! Hadn’t heard James before but he’s definitely a favorite now!

Thanks, Home Cooked Books, for the ALC!

Duet narration performed by Mollie Stark & Jason Clarke

• Rockstar Romance • Enemies to Lovers • Broken FMC/MMC • Mental Health Rep • Forbidden/Workplace • Forced Proximity • Accidental Pregnancy •

Trauma trauma trauma!
Jonah and Claire have so much trauma and both struggle in different ways. He’s the “spare parts” child struggling with years of feeling unloved and unwanted. She’s suffering with an eating disorder and isolation from her family due to poor decisions she made in The Next Life Duet. She’s also Jonah’s PR manager and his dad’s mistress.

The tension was delicious. The forbidden aspect made for some excellent drama. The trauma was sad and the lashing out made my heart hurt for them both.

Mollie and Jason both delivered incredible performances. The emotions they exuded during some really intense scenes made those scenes hit extra hard.

Thank you so much Brit & The Author Agency for the ALC
