I think this is an absolute must read. A genuine book that has a different story to tell. Great story, good plot, very good character development and a very unique approach on the subject of vampires.
I also liked that fact that it tells parallel stories at the same time which makes it even more interesting and engaging. Plus the descriptions flare up your imagination and create majestic images in your head.

Very nice and refreshing story. It has a good plot for its genre and it gives you the feeling of "Chilling at home on a Sunday afternoon and watching something between goosebumps and American teen movies".

Very nice little book. I finished it in a couple of hours because I found it very engaging.
The stories are eerie and cute at the same time and they capture perfectly the Tim Burton "spirit"

It is a good book that has lots of references in it. Very well rounded with a variety of subjects and provides ad adequate insight in religions, traditions, culture and various societies.
Although, it should be much longer to fit everything in, which would be hard to read as the amount of grammatical errors it is really annoying (even for someone who does not speak English as their first language)
Other than this I believe it is a good reference book for someone who wants to start somewhere and do their own research. It also has very nice pictures in it that keeps you going. There is nothing new though that doesn't exist in other books.

Finally a book with a realistic approach to the subject.
Lots of useful information in the origins, properties, crafting etc.
Also gives a good idea and makes you think of the references of wands in popular culture.
