Stunning, An Absolute Must-Read Debut!!! This was such a great book. I was able to read this through an ARC given to me by the author.

She captured the story of fate, timeless love and unwavering devotion perfectly. Ashleigh and Flora’s story is raw, heartfelt, and so realistically crafted in beauty. It’s almost like a Cinderella retelling with a twist. With so many twists and turns that leave you turning the page for more. Who doesn’t like a dark, morally gray, billionaire MMC - with the touch her and die (literally) vibes. Sign me up every time. This story is an emotional roller coaster, full of love, loss, healing, and redemption. It broke my heart, then slowly put it back together again. And that ending… let’s just say, it was so deeply satisfying.

Holy HOT!!!!

I was not prepared for the beautiful love story in this book… or should I say love stories. This was beautifully written. The story of redemption and love that happens through shared pain and fear is unmatched. Now the spice is spicing, but it doesn’t take away from the plot. The story of persecution and the abhorrent nature surrounding the pain of these characters was beautifully explained, examined and written.

I am HOOKED!

Let me start by saying, this book starts fast pace, and it does not slow down or disappoint. You meet our FMC, Neev Kaesong, who is a human orphan that had been dropped off as a child to the Eye. She has no recollection of her life or anything prior to her life now.

When she encounters our MMC, Commander Raiz Asterean who is a Zeahiri leader, who has taken her from the only home she has known, to help with a task of translating some text that he hopes will help in the Resistance.

Raiz becomes obsessed with Neev, but in the best way possible. There’s spectacular tension, devotion and a slow burn romance that builds into the most unforgettable spice. Their connection is electric and equal parts explosive and tender. Dare I say that Raiz has made it up there in my top 10 book boyfriends – YES!!!!

Secrets begin to unravel, and tensions rise, as their world teeters on the edge of change and discovery. And just when you think it can’t get any wilder… the book ends on the most unbelievable CLIFFHANGER! Ummm, where is book 2? I need it, like NOW!

This won’t be my last Nichole Greene book. Her writing is PHENOMENAL! Special thanks for the ARC to Nichole Greene. You have me hooked! [a:Nichole Greene|20181440|Nichole Greene|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1596642941p2/20181440.jpg]

Just like Twilight of Embers, I flew through this book because it was SO good. I loved the mystery of Wren from Twilight so to now get her story with her mates/pack. I’m so sat and ready for book two. Tessa has done it again.

Just say, “Yes Chef…”

Holy spicy!!! I wasn’t prepared for how much spice was in this short novella, but I was here for it.

It gave me “You” vibes and who doesn’t LOVE Joe Goldberg. Check your trigger warnings because this novella hits all the marks and then some. If you’re good, then dive in, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll eat it up… pun intended.

This was slow moving for me in the beginning. I was SO engrossed with Zodiac Academy, that changing to this series after book 3 was really hard; but as soon as I got really into it, it was amazing. I'm on to book 2 now... what will happen, I can't wait to find out.

This book is SO good... I really thought this series was just a means to an end to move forward with ZA, but I have to tell you I'm really enjoying this series. I'm SO invested in all of these characters, I don't think I can take it if it doesn't turn out like I want it to.

That shower scene toward the end of the book - holy HOT! I swear, I think that scene was 100 pages long :)

I'm jumping right into book 3... I hope we start to get more answers soon, but I think I have a feeling as to where this is going.

Hi, I really want to thank you Hachette Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this ALC prior to the release date; however, I found this book to be very difficult to follow. I literally have NEVER DNF'd a book before - and it was difficult for me to do so. It started off hard to follow and continued. I finished about 55% of this and most of the time I spent going back are re-listening to try and follow the story.

I must say, the audiobook itself was phenomenal! Emily Lawrence's, the narrator's, voice fit the tone of the world perfectly—sultry, smooth, and on point. The Magic System and the World Building were extremely difficult to follow. I just honestly couldn't get past the actual writing itself. I would totally listen to Emily narrate again, but I don't believe that I can finish this particular ALC.

This series is SO good... I literally almost lost my mind the last few chapters of this book. I have 2 more to go and then back to ZA, but this series will stay with me. On to book 4... I swear, I'm holding my breath.
