🎧 This series just keeps getting better and better. Emma Tallon has such a way of writing her characters that you love them despite their lifestyles and business’s. This one plays out a little different and I was apprehensive with all the twists and turns that life as I knew it was going to change within my underworld family. Yet again there is never a dull moment with many the heart stopping antics. Yet another great listen and I can’t wait to get stuck into the next instalment but sadly it’s the last in the series 😢…

🎧 Like with The Drew Family Series I can’t get enough of The Tyler Family series. I’m going to be devastated when it comes to an end. Theres nothing like visiting with The Tyler’s and all the antics they get up to. Emma Tallon really knows how to weave a story within the criminal underworld. I love all the characters in this series and the relationships within such a tough world. This one hits a little differently and I love that the author isn’t one to just have everything work out and everyone lives happily ever after. This series just keeps getting better and better. Now I’m off to start the next one 😉.

2 sittings an this one was done and dusted. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going on. I really wanted the pace to move faster but I suppose that was the idea to build the suspense. It’s a cleverly written storyline that will have you suspicious of everyone and my mind went into overdrive. I’m delighted to say any conclusion I’d come to couldn’t have been further from the outcome. The characters are both likeable and unlikeable depending on the moment. Really enjoyed this one and definitely recommend as there is many a twist and turn 😉…

This is the 13th book in the Detective Amanda Steele series. I love this series even though I haven’t read them all. The characters are just so loveable and the relationships they have with each other. I love Amanda and Trent as partners. This was an interesting storyline and it’s written in a way that it really builds the suspense. It’s a slower pace to other reads in the series but maybe that’s the point. Definitely recommend and look forward to the next in the series.

🎧 This is the first book in the Eve Mallow Mystery Series. This one wasn’t really my cup of tea. I loved the cosy village feel where everyone knows everyone but it lacked suspense and intrigue when it came to the unfolding of Bernard Fitzpatricks life and subsequent murder. I didn’t really find his life story interesting but a little dull. I liked the majority of the characters and can see there is great potential for the series. I look forward to Eves amateur sleuthing in the future.

Karen Rose is one of my favourite authors so when I saw this available on Netgalley it was a no brainer. I only realised on starting it’s the second book in The San Diego Case Files series. I didn’t feel I was missing out for the most part not reading the first but I’ve read all of Rose’s book series in order. I did enjoy this one but did find the storyline a bit too drawn out and it felt like it lost its way in the middle somewhat. It had an interesting well developed storyline with well developed likeable characters. I know some criticise the romantic theme that runs through Karen Roses books but I really love that aspect as she really knows how to do it right. As always Karen Rose never lets me down.

🎧 This is the first in the Detective Casey White series. I really enjoyed this one but did think it could have been a lot shorter as it felt very drawn out at times. There are 2 active cases running alongside each other that the detectives are investigating. I enjoyed both cases and how they played out. I really liked the main characters and could see myself becoming very fond of them. The narration was both engaging and easy to listen to. Looking forward to the next instalment.

🎧 This one is an extremely slow burn, too slow though! It’s described as a gripping read but I didn’t have that experience. If anything I was urging it get going and give me something to get me interested. The narration didn’t really work for what should have been a tense and gripping story. It just didn’t grip me and I can’t say I really cared for the storyline. Don’t get me wrong I did really want certain aspects explained but it took far too long to get to the answers and I had lost all interest by then and the explanation was underwhelming.

I found the blurb intriguing and was looking forward to getting stuck in. But the story was not what I was expecting. It’s  told from 3 different points of view - Stephanie, Kay and Rosie. I found it a very slow and repetitive read. The characters were well developed but not overly likeable and I had the plot sussed early on. This one just didn’t do it for me and I was bored and not inclined to want to read on. It didn’t live up to the blurb.

🎧 Emma Tallon has quickly become one of my favourite authors. She creates great storylines based on the underworld and even considering the theme you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. This is book 4 in the Tyler Family Series and I’d recommend starting from the beginning. When I read/listen to one of Emma’s book series it’s like visiting with old friends. This one is another intriguing and gripping listen that has it all. The series just keeps getting better and I can’t wait to get stuck into the next in the series.
