🎧/📖 I adore Kristen Baileys books and this one was no exception. I Absolutely LOVED THIS ONE! If you’re looking for a festive, feel good read with such adorable characters then you need to put this one on your TBR list. Kristen Bailey has such a knack for writing quirky but lovable storylines and even more adorable characters that will have you laughing out loud. There was many the time I laughed out loud while listening to this one. I listened more than read and loved it in the audio format. It really brought it to life and the narrator did such an incredible job and really added to the listening experience.i hope to meet Maggie, Jasper, Frank and Leo again in the future. I’m firmly in the Christmas spirit after this one. Another great read Kristen Bailey 🥰.

I had high hopes for this one but in my opinion it’s not a thriller/mystery read as it’s described. It’s a slow burn that’s predictable in terms of the main premise of the storyline. It moves from past to present and builds the backstory of Robyn and Willa’s relationship which I really liked. Its told from different characters points of view which worked well to make you feel like your getting to know the characters. It has both likeable and unlikeable characters. It did feel like it was missing something in terms of big reveals and twists. It was an interesting story but it just lacked something and for me there was no real mystery but an interesting storyline but just needed a little oomph.

🎧 This one is a bit of a slow burn to start off but it soon ramps up the pace along with the twists and turns. This is one listen that will have you suspicious of everyone. Likeable and unlikeable characters that are well developed although Riley’s character came across as naive considering her circumstances. The narrator did a good job of spinning the story and keeping me engaged.

Done and dusted in 2 sittings. I couldn’t put it down and I couldn’t turn those pages fast enough. Loved the dual timeline. Really well thought out thriller with well developed characters that are both likeable and unlikeable. Really builds the suspense and keeps you guessing. Loved Julia as a character. I really like when I don’t have a plot figured out and it all comes as a surprise and the outcome is worth waiting for. Really enjoyed this one and would definitely recommend but be prepared to get nothing done until you have devoured it.

🎧 This one was a slow paced listen that only kept my attention somewhat. I found it predictable and was waiting to be proved wrong with a big twist. It didn’t have overly likeable characters and I eye rolled a bit more than I should have. Certain circumstances that just wouldn’t happen so I lost a little faith. The narration was good and kept me going till the end. I found the start of book didn’t gel with the second half as if the characters weren’t the same throughout but maybe that was the point. It was an ok listen but nothing really different about it.

🎧 This one is told from a mothers and daughters point of view. It was a bit of a slow burn and felt a little dragged out. How the story unfolded worked well but for the last 1/4 of the listen I felt it just got ridiculous and unbelievable and it completely lost my interest. This one was ok but the outcome was just that bit to unbelievable.

This is book 16 in the DI Gina Harte series. I haven’t read the whole series so can definitely be read as a standalone but if you like to know the backstory that is referenced you are better to start from the beginning. It starts off at a slow pace and eases you in and then it gets going and doesn’t let up. I flew through this one as it weaves a really interesting storyline with many a surprise and change of direction. Well developed storyline and characters. Really likeable characters especially the DI Gina Harte’s  team. It all came together well with no unanswered questions. Really enjoyed this one and how the story unfolded. Looking forward to reading more of this series.

I’ve read the first book in the Detective Delaney Pace series. This is the fourth book but I didn’t feel I missed out by not reading book two and three but it does make me want to read them. I also noticed how the series has come into its own since reading book one. This one was binged in a couple of days, I couldn’t put it down and loved all the different dynamics. You get several of the characters points of view and I would have loved a little more of the perpetrators point of view but that’s just me being noisy 🤩. It has well developed, likeable characters that you could totally get invested in. I really liked how the author turned a storyline around in her own unique way. It moves at a steady pace and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Really enjoyed this one and looking forward to the next instalment. This one is another series to add to my list.

🎧 This isn’t one of my favourites of Colleen Hoovers but it was ok. It is intriguing but extremely slow paced. I did find myself bored at times with the pace and just going through the motions and considered DNFing several times. There are some likeable and unlikeable characters. The last 1/4 it picked up the pace and I was engaged again but I might not have got that far. It was ok but not one I’ll remember.

🎧 This is an intriguing thriller that keeps you engaged. It was a fast paced listen to start off but slowed in the middle and felt like it dragged a little especially when things ramped up. It switches timelines from past to present and it’s worth noting it’s a grim listen that is graphic in its accounts. It’s a heartbreaking listen that will touch the toughest of hearts. I was really interested in Graces story and how it was unfolding but I will admit I had the outcome worked out from early on but that didn’t make it as less sad. I loved Garda Jerry and how the author portrayed how some cases never leave us. This is a thriller you will definitely want to put on your list.
