Beautifully written. It’s so subtle in its delivery of just the most heart wrenching moments. It’s like someone took the gray landscape in the story and showed you the bleakness and the beauty, except about the people there and the lives they had and the story that ensues. I immediately had to go read the beginning again, just to fully appreciate it. Read it slowly and let the words do their thing.
