This is the manga adaptation to the second part of the movie "Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning".
Instead of revising episodes from the anime, this volume focuses on a new villain with the ability to switch locations with another person. While the premise of it is nice, I find it quite poorly executed. We hear all about this villain, about how he is this great robber that nobody has been able to catch so far, how he has stolen this incredibly important statue, and then it's never brought up again.
The majority of this volume consists of the heroes chasing the villain in an endless game of mouse-and-cat with Barnaby shitting on Kotetsu the entire time, mainly for no reason at all, and everyone being incredibly and unnecessarily rude to each other, which is very uncharacteristic for the cast. The only truly good scene was where Barnaby decides to rescue the father after seeing his son crying as it added a nice touch to Barnaby's character. As for the rest, it put me in the same depressed mood as Kotetsu's throughout this volume, especially since the art is as crappy as in the first volume and has not improved at all.
Overall I would not recommend this to anyone who is not a die-hard fan of this series since it is not needed to understand the rest of the story and doesn't add anything to it either.

The plot is not much different from the first episode of the anime. It does have a few nice little extras and background information sprinkled in here and there though, which makes it worth a read, especially since it's pretty thin and not time-consuming at all. What does bug me is the inconsistent art style and the at times simply ridiculous anatomy. I think this would've been a much more pleasurable read if they had hired the same artist (Mizuki Sakakibara) as for the main series.

Terribly disappointed by this one.

The art was way too rough for my liking and the characters looked nothing like what they are described as in the books. All of the characters are supposed to be in high school but they look more like nine-year-olds with a driver's license here.

The plot wasn't exactly a masterpiece either- the story felt rushed and had no substance whatsoever. It also had nothing to do with the "three-eyed skull" mentioned in the title. Something along the lines of "The Three Investigators and the Lost Emerald" would've been much more fitting but this title is nothing but misleading.

All in all a rather underwhelming read and would definitely not recommend to anyone, not even to people who are in love with the original book series.

This didn't make me want to gauge my eyes out like the first one did but that's also just about it.

The art did not improve at all since the first graphic novel and still has the same rough and shaggy look to it. The characters also still look way too young, even the adults. Some of the character designs closely resembled those of characters from the first graphic novel, which didn't exactly add to the experience.

The case was slightly more interesting this time around but still felt quite rushed and once I had finished the graphic novel, I was under the impression that I had just read an unfinished script instead of a final draft.

You can judge the overall quality of the graphic novel by the fact that I was personally more interested in whether Morton would be refunded for the Rolls Royce than in the actual conclusion of the case.

Actually thought this was quite nice. The concept is similar to [b: Hiyokoi 1|10566534|ひよ恋 1 Hiyokoi 1 |Moe Yukimaru|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1298435595s/10566534.jpg|15473446] by Moe Yukimaru, except that the characters are not grossly lovey-dovey and annoying all the time and that it doesn't use social anxiety as a "quirky quality for the female protagonist". The plot was a bit all over the place and definitely could've benefited from some more structure. Overall, it was an enjoyable and quick read though.

You can notice that the mangaka put some more effort into coming up with a coherent plot for this volume, which definitely makes this volume better than the first one. The characters are still a bit all over the place but I believe that that will become better as the plot settles in.
