The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

This is such a fun, quick read. I feel like I enjoyed this book a lot, but my teenage self would have enjoyed it so much more!! Even though some things can be predictable, it has plot twists as well and the enemies to lovers trope is included in the story which makes it even better.
I don’t understand the bad reviews. This is not New Adult. This is not meant to be like ACOTAR. If you’re looking for a sexy romance and a complex war plot, this ain’t it. But because in my opinion, it’s not meant to be that way.
I would definitely read this if you’re going through a reading slump and need an easy yet not so intense fantasy book!
Definitely recommend for teenagers and those who don’t like so many sexual scenes :)

Extremely original, heartbreaking and profound. However, very predictable and repetitive. I found myself wanting to finish it quickly so I could read something else, but I also got attached to Nora. Overall, not bad at all, but overhyped!

I gave this book 5 stars because I couldn’t give it 4.7! The reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because how are they just randomly leaving a terrorist attack scene like they just woke up from a nap? Haha that sounded a bit unrealistic to me. The rest… my gosh! I cried like a baby and that never happens. Totally recommend. Original, heartbreaking, extremely deep! I enjoyed it a lot!!!
