Amazing book, deep characters, gorgeous prose. The only reason it's not a 5/5 is due to the odd choice to not use punctuation for some of the chapters.

great concept, seeing the story from the "monster" perspective
some interesting takes on the Lovecraftian Mythos
too many characters that are not fleshed out, that I didn't thus care for
pacing was off. The few moments where "stuff happens" are mired in too much talking exposition or inner monologue that doesn't reflect the plot

Generic sword and sorcery, with a few good ideas and a break-neck pace. Some questionable content choices almost made me drop this one. Wasted potential of building upon HP Lovecraft's Dreamlands setting . Wouldn't reccommend.
