Amazing book, deep characters, gorgeous prose. The only reason it's not a 5/5 is due to the odd choice to not use punctuation for some of the chapters.

- great concept, seeing the story from the "monster" perspective
- some interesting takes on the Lovecraftian Mythos
- too many characters that are not fleshed out, that I didn't thus care for
- pacing was off. The few moments where "stuff happens" are mired in too much talking exposition or inner monologue that doesn't reflect the plot

Generic sword and sorcery, with a few good ideas and a break-neck pace. Some questionable content choices almost made me drop this one. Wasted potential of building upon HP Lovecraft's Dreamlands setting . Wouldn't reccommend.
