I never read horror but after following the author on TT for a while I had learned enough about the book that I felt like I could handle this cozy horror. I'm so glad I gave it a chance because I loved it. There is gore, but I didn't get scared at all. This was a great take on vampire lore and after reading a ton of vampire books this was a fresh take. I can't wait to keep reading this series.

This cozy story made me feel like I was watching a 90s-early 2000s Disney channel halloween movie with a whirlwind adventure taking our main characters all around town on their quest.... but with an aged up vibe. I loved Gus and the found family he created. I cannot wait for more Gustopher adventures

This was my fourth Kennedy Ryan book, but the first one I completed without crying. This story was so good and had me hooked from the very beginning.
