really good but the pacing was not my favorite. the first half feels very repetitive, just story after story of gruesome accidents and the family refusing to seek medical treatment. lots of gore. i relate in some ways which is unnerving.

she is such a good writer and she is SO CLOSE!!! i am waiting for her deconstruction from mormonism - one day she will see how the church enabled this whole thing. but somehow she still defends it in this. i see a lot of myself in her tho

i wanted more! i learned a lot. i thought it was very clever that the author used the Deaf history class as a means to educate the audience through charlie
