Pretty incredible - touching, emotional, and funny. Great characters, great dialogue, great philosophical discussion. Even though the point of the story is that humanity is insane and will destroy itself over and over, it is conveyed in such a way that makes one love and appreciate being human at the same time. I will carry this book in my thoughts for a long time to come.
Hilarious and many good insights. Seemed more upbeat than the usual Hornby.
Good characterization and dialogue. If these lads can walk for five days straight, I can go work out for thirty minutes. Older King is better King.
This book simultaneously stimulated my amygdala and made me nostalgic for childhood. King spent 4 years writing this and you can tell.
McMurtry has a unique style and pace. Beautiful western fantasy. Compelling but tragic - after all, the death of a man is an everyday occurrence.
The message of this book is that self-destruction, rather than self-improvement, is the path to enlightenment. Never thought I would say this, but I think I liked the movie better.
Entertaining book with a unique twist on the zombie story. Interesting twist at the end.
