This book taught me a valuable lesson: to trust my gut. I knew deep down this wasn't for me, but my hopeful side wanted to believe this book could redeem the whole series. Jules and Josh's story was unfolding beautifully—no more narrative pitfalls diminishing their emotional connection, nor any forced moments. I thought, "Finally! A believable relationship progression." But then, the conflict happened—ugh (at about 74% of the book), I cringe just thinking about it. It could've been avoided in so many ways, and it felt completely out of character for them. It was like they threw it in for drama's sake. I ended up hating Josh.

So yeah, I'm disappointed. Twisted Hate didn't meet my expectations, but it's still the best in the series so far, in my opinion. As for the last one? I don't think I'll be picking it up. I just can't do it.

Este libro me enseñó una super lección: el confiar en mi instinto. Sabía que esto no era para mí, pero un lado de mi quería creer que este libro podría redimir toda la serie. La historia de Jules y Josh se desarrolló maravillosamente, en este libro no hubieron muchas lagunas narrativas que disminuyeran su conexión emocional, ni momentos forzados. Pensé, "¡Finalmente! Una progresión amorosa creíble". Pero llegó el conflicto, ugh (alrededor del 74% del libro). El conflicto pudo haberse evitado de tantas maneras, y sentí que “la solucion” fue completamente fuera de carácter para los personajes. Fue como si agregaran esa parte de la historia por el simple hecho de tener drama. Terminé odiando a Josh.

Así que sí, estoy decepcionada. Twisted Hate no cumplió mis expectativas, pero en mi opinión, sigue siendo el mejor libro de la serie hasta ahora. En cuanto al último libro Twisted Lies, no creo que lo voy a leer. Simplemente no puedo hacerlo.

Did not enjoy this one at all. While I dove in hoping for some magical love story, the time jumps threw me off. What else I didn’t like? Let me tell you…

The emotional connection between characters was non-existent.
Character development was...AGAIN non-existent.
The wild sex scenes had a strange power play that got awkward real quick.
Rhys was too "I own you" all the time and it got old fast.
I was waiting for Bridget to slay as a powerful queen, but it felt more like the emphasis was on how she got caught up in Rhys's web of possessiveness.

The only glimmer of independence from Bridget? The citizen program.

No disfruté este para nada. Mientras me sumergí en esta historia con la esperanza de encontrar un amor mágico, los saltos en la historia y sus lagunas me confundieron toda. ¿Qué más no me gusto? Con gusto te lo platico…

La conexión emocional entre los personajes fue inexistente.
El desarrollo de los personajes, igual, inexistente.
Las escenas setsis tenian un extraño juego de poder que se sintio incómodas muy rápido.
Rhys es demasiado "me perteneces", que, igual, se volvió aburrido muy rápido.
Estaba esperando que Bridget se desarrollara como una super reina toda poderosa, pero lo que senti mas fue como que se quedó atrapada en la telaraña posesiva de Rhys.

El único momento de independencia que Bridget mostro fue el programa de apoyo ciudadano. PUNTO

Diving into the hype of BookTok, I gave the Twisted Love series a shot, and here's my take! While it might not be the groundbreaking read everyone claims, it does have its moments.

Alex brings those "touch her and I'll kill you" vibes that a lot of us love, and his story has some intense plot twists that kept me on my toes BUT, gotta be honest, the toxic dynamic between him and Ava tainted everything for me.
Ava's journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. Overcoming fears is empowering, but focusing her journey solely on Alex made it bittersweet. Still, witnessing her conquer personal demons added good layers to the narrative.
The characters are practically flawless, which, in the real world, is impossible. I know it’s fiction, but I think finding the balance between relatable and dreamy would elevate the story.
Operation Emotion was an interesting way to start Alex and Ava’s relationship but it was completely ignored, we got no closure, not even a small mention about it.
Time flies in this world, and sometimes a bit too fast! Rapid developments made it hard to fully grasp the emotional connection between the characters and their story.

Siguiendo las recomendaciones de BookTok, le di una oportunidad a la serie Twisted Love, y aquí está mi opinión. Aunque no es la super historia que todos afirman, tiene sus momentos.

Alex transmite esas vibras de "tócala y te mato" que a muchas nos gustan, y hay twists en su historia que me mantuvieron interesada, pero, siendo sincera, la tóxica dinámica entre el y Ava arruino todo lo demás.
La historia de Ava es una montaña rusa de emociones. Superar los miedos es algo empoderador, pero el enfocarlo completamente en Alex lo arruino. Aun así, debo admitir que leer cómo vence sus traumas añadió capas interesantes a la narración.
Los personajes son perfectos, lo cual, en el mundo real, es un exceso. Yo se que es ficción, pero a mi parecer, el encontrar un equilibrio entre lo realista y lo imaginario elevaría la historia.
La Operación Emoción fue una manera interesante de iniciar la relación entre Ava y Alex pero desaparecio por completo. No se volvio a mencionar despues de dos ocasiones.
El tiempo vuela en este mundo, ¡un poco demasiado rápido! Los desarrollos rápidos me dificultaron el comprender la conexión emocional entre los personajes y sus historias.

Finishing this literary gem is like diving into a sea of love and hope. The story of Jacks and Evangeline is one of the best I've ever read.

Jacks, constantly trying to distance himself from Evangeline out of fear of causing her harm, even reaching the point of hurting himself to protect her. Evangeline, continually following her heart and instincts, manages to save the love of her life, no matter what life throws at her.

An incredible villain! Being the opposite of Jacks, he exhibits a heart-wrenching selfishness justifying harm to others in the name of his goals. I hate him so much that he is a reflection of Stephanie's incredible storytelling skills.

This series has quickly climbed my favorites list. It's not essential to read Caraval, but delving into its pages will give you a fascinating perspective on Jacks' past.

Terminar esta joya literaria es como sumergirse en un mar de amor y esperanza. La historia de Jacks y Evangeline es una de las mejores que he leído.

Jacks, continuamente buscando alejarse de Evangeline por miedo a hacerle daño, incluso llegando al punto en el que se daña a si mismo para protegerla. Evangeline que continuamente, no importa las cosas que le aviente la vida, sigue su corazón e instinto y logra salvar al amor de su vida.

¡Un villano increíble! Siendo el opuesto a Jacks, muestra un egoísmo desgarrador que justifica dañar a los demás en nombre de sus objetivos. Lo odio tanto que no es más el reflejo la increíble habilidad narrativa que nos da Stepanie en esta serie.

Esta serie ha escalado rápidamente en mi lista de favoritos. No es imprescindible leer Caraval, pero sumergirse en sus páginas te dará una perspectiva fascinante del pasado de Jacks.

This book stole my heart! 💖 Everything about it was amazing: the plot, the characters, the narration, the romance! EVERYTHING!

Thank the heavens, Evangeline grew a bit in this book. Although she still makes some stupid decisions, at least now she hesitates a bit more and doesn't trust so easily.

Jacks is incredible! The only thing I don't like is how stubborn he is, clinging to going back to Donatella when he clearly has feelings for Evangeline. I'm just like her, holding onto a possible love, ignoring every single time he clearly states that HE DOES NOT LIKE EVANGELINE. Until we get to my favorite line of the whole book “There is nothing of equal value to me.” – it killed me! 💔

Seriously, I loved this book, and the ending was incredible. It's been a while since I've read about such a horrible villain. I did not see it coming at all!
