Atmospheric and beautifully written. It was a very strange book but in all the right ways. The story kept me interested all the way through to the end. It did leave a me a little wanting when it ended, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Brom is a master storyteller. I enjoyed this book quite a bit! The story was unique and the setting was superb. I can imagine DnD games set in this world! It did get a little slow in the middle but I really enjoyed it!

I know the reviews aren't great for this book, but I loved it! While short, I took my time with it.

It has been described as a 'love-letter' to Earth and that is exactly what it is. It was beautifully written, poetic, reflective, awe-inspiring, I could go on. I will say, it doesn't have a plot, per se, but the story is still beautiful. It played my poetic little heart strings in all the right ways, and I loved it.

As a lover of historical fiction and someone who appreciates Stephen King's writing, I really enjoyed this book. It has definitely become my favorite of his. Sure, it has its flaws, and there are things I could critique, but overall, it was a fantastic story that held my attention until the very end. The blend of time travel, historical drama, and human connection was masterfully done. And seriously—why did I cry when Jake and Sadie danced at the end?! Such a bittersweet and beautiful moment.

4.5 stars

Give me all things Brom! Krampus is the second Brom book I’ve read this year, and it did not disappoint. His ability to blend dark folklore with human struggles is incredible. The rich, atmospheric storytelling paired with his stunning illustrations brings the tale of Krampus and his war on Santa to life in a way that feels both mythic and modern. I couldn’t put it down! I’ll definitely be working my way through the rest of his works—Brom has definitely become one of my must-read authors.

This was way too slow for me. I almost quit it several times. The story was interesting, but I struggled through this one.

This was the best book of the series, in my opinion. Nesta and her friends were my favorite characters.
