Penalty Kill
By Lexi James
5⭐

This is my first Lexi James read and my oh my, this book did not disappoint. Lexi's writing keeps you wanting more.

Stella is the girl I will be rooting for like a cheerleader. I love her and the moment I knew I did was from the beginning of this read. The things she says, had me cackling.
"And I like D__k too much to be a nun."
"If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I'm probably going to start quacking and try to suck his d__k."

Every romance has a meet-cute moment that you can tell whether you'll love or dislike the read. As soon as Stella and Miles met, the chemistry was pouring from the pages. His POV made my heart melt. The only thing standing in-between these two is Stellas brother Rex, she's not allowed to date anyone from his hockey team. Guess who plays for his team... MILES!

Years pass, and Stellas life is imploding. Living in a hotel at the moment with renovations going on in her apartment, she feels homeless, doesn't want to ask for help. Also her new bakery she wants to open in Nashville flooded!! While Rex and Miles had breakfast at her bakery, Miles went to help Stella bring in a delivery and noticed something wasn't right with her, he invited her to a beer and lunch. She opened up to Miles and without a second thought he told her, "Why don't you live with me" BUT that wasn't the biggest problem and when she told him about the bakery he said "When are WE leaving to Nashville!"

Like HELLO Miles, without a doubt he jumped to rescue Stella.
Wait.. bc if he doesn't sound like the ideal book boyfriend, his nickname for her is TROUBLE 🥰🥵

Where I'm going to leave this review is here.. bc I promise you, this read will have you swooning.. googly eyed and screaming for me..

Favorite quote is when Miles said, "I think you're going to be my undoing, Stell."

The Black Rose

By Mary McIntosh

I’ve read a lot of books that change timelines and you feel lost or like something’s missing.. but Mary McIntosh has such an ease while writing that the transitions are smooth and not boring.. it’s informative.. especially with the haunting secrets that get revealed.

Mary’s intoxicating novel has you flipping page by page. I was bumping into walls while reading this bc I was glued to my iPad.

Lilith’s life was anything but easy. After losing her parents when she was 5 and in foster care where she meets Damien. Still struggling Lilith and Damien get involved with the Mafia.

Lilith one day walks into the police station and says she has information on an active case.
The cops taking her information think, she’s just like every other woman who has walked in.. BUT of course my girl Lilith says, “Every successful King needs a Queen!” ((This was her drop mic and walk away moment, but obvi she couldn’t walk away lol))

Adam, a detective working cases. My oh my, when I say he’s the perfect match for Lilith is an understatement.

Now don’t get me wrong, Damien is the bad boy every girl will fall for BUT….
Let’s just say.. read and find out!! Snitches get stitches! And I’m no snitch 🤐

If there’s one thing about me, I love finding Indie Authors. I had the privilege of receiving this as an ARC. Kelli Cooke Debut!! 🥳
Kelli’s writing has this captivating flow that keeps you engaged in the story and wanting more with every word. Might I add, the playlist to this book just alone 5⭐️!!  Every chapter has its own song! Creativity 👄🤌🏼  Writing 😍
Plot/Spice ❤️‍🩹🥵 Here Kelli, take my heart.. take everything bc this read was just perfection!

High school sweethearts about to embark on college together until Will signs up for the Air Force. Cam heartbroken and shattered dreams says words she will never forget, “Fuck You Will Davenport. Don’t ever contact me again!”

After 5years past, Cam and Will still think about each other. Can’t find another person who will complete them. Failed Dates. Failed Relationships. Fate just wasn’t done with them!
Will goes on a night out with his sister, never has he made interest on anyone, when he sees a blonde from behind, he has to dance with.. &who is that blonde.. CAM!

Friendships and Siblings are the key element to this read. It adds a more personal touch to the story making you grow closer to the characters.. reading this I felt like I was apart of the story.

The banter Cam and Will are giving is next level swoon worthy. The chemistry is spilling off the pages!!

Carisse Lee.. this book should come with a warning, you’ll need an extra pair of panties while reading!! My OH my Levi and Ivy was EVERYTHING! Carisse’s writing has your emotions in her hands, she’s now your master while reading and she’ll let you know when she’s ready to give it to you! Bc when she gives it to you.. 🥵🌶️

Levi, trying to distract his hard on over Ivy’s picture after stalking her social, MIND YOU, his best friend Nate, ((cough cough, Ivy’s Dad)) is asking him if she can work for Levi.

Resisting Ivy.. perfect name for the book bc it doesn’t last long to resist Ivy, let me tell you. Levi unfolds at the sight of her.
Not a direct quote, but his inner thoughts when he said, “But I’ve now tasted her lips, and fuck me, she tastes like she’s mine” had me kicking my feet and screaming YESSSS!

The only plot in this story has to be that Ivy needed a job, but Levi had another job idea for her. To fuck the Brat out of her!!
And his nickname, Poison for her.. the heartbeat I have in my lady parts.. holy moly!!

If you’re into a spicy age gap… this is your read!! So have your toys ready and get to reading bc the spice be spicing !!! 🥵🌶️

Nightmares. Vampires. And a To Be Continued. Oh how my heart aches.
Maddie.. Maddie.. Maddie you have left me speechless and wanting more. If this is how you started your debut novel, I am so thrilled to have been apart of your journey with this ARC. Maddie Rose Andry's writing style is rich in descriptive language, the visuals while reading had me at the edge of my seat.

The book starts off with a bang. You are instantly embarked in the journey with Dr. Phenice Jones, who is plagued by gruesome nightmares of a cursed Egyptian Queen. When these nightmares bleed into Phenice's waking hours, her PTSD starts to revive and overwhelms her and the carefully constructed life she has made for herself starts a rift. Developing feelings for a patient her world is unraveling.

Phenice decided to go for a run and thought to herself, tomorrow’s going to be a new day (little did she know) and I’ll begin living my life right. WRONG! Suddenly she felt hands grab her. Six supernaturals hunters attacked Phenice, looking for their lost Queen, they started to bit down on her neck repeatedly. When they were done, the black haired female with the voice of a lion said “Throw her body in the river.”

Maddie’s take on vampires was unique. “What if Vampires had a soul?” This is question and story that will live rent free in my thoughts. Kind of makes me want to watch Twilight now and enjoy the HOA HOA HOA HOAAAA vibes I am left with.

Have you ever read a book that had such beautiful and captivating world building? An engaging story with plot that left you speechless? If not, this is the read for you.

This is a YA Romantasy that follows Cate the FMC. An American who embarks on a journey to London attending University. Having never left her hometown, she’s nervous. One her first night, she’s invited to party that was anything but fun for her. Walking back to her dorm she is being followed and thankfully Lucas was not far behind scaring them off.

Cate’s stream of bad luck makes her new friends Lucas and Daniel reveal the true reason behind why she’s in London.
She is The Concealed. A princess who’s prophesied to unite kingdoms and stop the embers from destroying their world.

There is no spice in this book, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be swooning over the banter and romance aspect of Cate and her love interest!! This book will have your emotions on a roller coaster that you don’t want to get off of.

This ARC contained a Dicktionary!! 👀🥵
And I’m invested already lol
This is my first Jess Christine read and I’m in LOVE 💕 her writing contains a drug, you can not put this book down!! She has a way of making you feel like you’re apart of the story, the friend group. I almost replied to the text messages HELLO!!

Second chance romances when you are childhood friends to lovers is always a good read BUT what happens when it’s childhood BEST friends to lovers, it becomes a GREAT read.

Jace and Lacey.. these two will have me thinking about them for quite some time.

This book had a little touch of everything. Your heart breaks.. melts and builds itself again. There’s moments that You laugh literally OUT LOUD.

Jace makes Lacey realize that she’s been his forever. Lacey makes Jace see clearly like any lens ever could… (photography joke) that he doesn’t need to travel the world to find home.

Truly the saddest part about this read is closing the book because you want to live in this world as long as possible.

Zombies and Dragon Shifters. Oh my.
A combo no one thought they needed until the brilliant Lina Ravenhill wrote it!!
This story has you drawn in from the beginning. Her words were so captivating, I was shooketh and looking over my shoulder just in case a crawler made his way out of this ARC !!

Tynan, Frid, Victor, and Solomon are on mission to retrieve a prisoner. Mission impossible bc there’s a virus spreading, an outbreak of crawlers. YES ZOMBIES!!

Alina is a prisoner in a high security prison. For a crime she did or didn’t commit…??  🤔
Let me tell you, she’s scaring me right now. Her delulu is NOT the solulu.
Alina is not dreaming and not fully awake, but those hallucinations.. 👀

Alina doesn’t remember why she was imprisoned, but she’s certain that she doesn’t want to be in another cell.
Tynan is questioning Why do they need her at the capital? Who is she? She’s wearing light blue, silk shoes and lace. Not many people wore that unless they’re of high birth. 👸🏻

This story holds secrets. Ones that will have you questioning as you read. This was unpredictable, plot driven and jaw dropping!
So grab your pint of Kvass and read this breathtaking fantasy. It will NOT disappoint.

✨ARC Review✨

🎀 Once Upon A Fake Date 🎀

By Jennifer Chipman
5⭐️

I am over the moon to have been picked to read this ARC. I am a HUGE fan of retellings, this story gives ALL the Sleeping Beauty Vibes.

Jennifer’s writing makes you feel like you’re apart of the story. I personally do not enjoy a fluffy romance book, BUT I was eating up all her words in this book! Jennifer Chipman has made me a believer.

Audrey aka Rosie and Parker were childhood best friends. She was only 12yrs old, being a lovesick girl thinking “I’m going to marry him someday.” Parker had to move away bc his dad got a job.

Audrey always wanted a fairytale happily ever after, but being a Sorority Girl/Theater Girl at Castleton University loving all things pink will just have to do.

Parker attending Castleton University for Architecture and on the Lacrosse Team.

One Halloween night Audrey and Ella (Audrey’s twin) attended a fraternity party. When she decided to step outside for some air, someone walked up to her. PARKER!!! 💕

It was like they never lost their friendship. They’re sooooooo freaking cute. The beginning of Chapter Five, had me looking ljke 😍🥰 kicking my feet and ooohhh awwwing … (Jennifer, what are you doing to me!!)

Okkkk so every book has a downfall and this contained one by the name of Duke. lol Ugh. Duke is Audrey’s EX boyfriend, who cheated on HER, but still thinks that she is his and always will be.

Quick info dump… Audrey is about to do a musical. Her partner is on academic probation and if she doesn’t find a replacement DUKE is the understudy. Telling this to Parker 💕 he’s like hey why not me!! Audrey goes to the theater and bumps into Duke, he’s bothering her so she says, leave me alone I’m with someone. Anddddd oh that didn’t go well with Duke. When she told Parker 💕 he was like, hey date me!! I’ll be your fake boyfriend. 😍 SO not only is he going to do the musical for her, he’s going to fake date her as well!! Real Prince Charming. *GASP*

This book will have you screaming for Parker!!! Book boyfriend. How about a book hubby!! He’s making me melt!
And these are only words, haven’t gotten to the good part… yet!

Say You'll Stay
By Anna Callaway

I am so thrilled I got picked to read this post-apocalyptic romance ARC!! 🧟‍♀️ This is my FIRST ever zombie read. And I must say, this did NOT disappoint. Anna Callaway has an unique way of pulling your emotions to the surface while reading and shifts them to feel everything. Reading this had me wondering what's next!! This read gives all The Walking Dead vibes. Cole and Olivia's story is forever going to hold a place in my heart.

The story begins in DC with pandemic that has the dead rising.

Cole, while searching for his friend Wade and dodging rotters (the dead) he hears a cry. Praying it's a kitten and not a baby.  Cole finds Olivia has just given birth to Lucy.

Olivia, having killed her abusive husband who had turned into a rotter, she has nothing left to lose and simply wants to survive.

You can sense the abuse Olivia has had to endure by her husband. You can't help but feel for her, your heart breaks for her. She is such an amazing character that shows growth.

Cole, Olivia and Lucy all begin to journey towards safer lands.

Cole stole my heart when he claimed Olivia and Lucy as his own so they can attend to them. The convo he has with Baby Lucy when Olivia was sleeping MELTED MY SOUL 🫠
