I am at a loss to describe this book. To quote Liesel Meminger, " I hated the words and I loved them." This story was beautiful and haunting and so much more than I thought it would be. I couldn't put it down and now that I am done I can't stop thinking about it.
This book is my all time favorite of the series because finally some of the questions about the mysterious and very hunky acheron get answered! I read this book for two days straight I could not put it down! This series is one of my favorite paranormal romance series ever and this book is probably my favorite of the series. Amazing! Acheron is one dark and desirable man that I wouldn't mind meeting in real life!
I have never rooted for a character to succeed more than I did in this book. I immediately felt a connection to Styxx and admired his courage and loyalty. I couldn't put this book down until I had read the very last word. This book made me cry more than any book I have ever read (even Acheron) and it definitely made me love this series even more. Styxx stole my heart and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. This is probably my new favourite book.
The Vampire Lestat is probably my favorite book of all time. I love his character. The book is so well written and Lestat is so compelling and his character is so deep and lifelike that once you start this book you won't be able to put it down until you find out more about him. Anne Rice's other books are pretty good too but I truly only love the ones with Lestat in them enough to want to read them more than once. I have probably read this book cover to cover 5 or six times over the years. Definitely a must read for any fiction lover!
This book was amazingly written I devoured it just as fast as the first one. I couldn't put it down!
I found this book tedious to read. I thought the characters lacked depth and I wasn't rooting for them at all. I really had to make myself finish this book rather than abandoning it.
