Thank you Jen Wilkin! This book gave me tangible, actionable steps I can take to understand and know God and His word on a deeper, more long-lasting level. We’re all guilty of reading the Bible to fulfill our own agendas, and Wilkin exposes these agendas whilst giving us hope that there’s a better, more fulfilling way to God’s heart and our own fulfillment.

As an aspiring higher education professional, this book was an informative, engaging, and thought-provoking read. I learned a lot about how many college applicants suffer (including myself) because of some of the flawed systems at the core of the college admissions process (the history on the ACT/SAT was especially fascinating). Knowledge is power and if we understand the problems and where they came from, (and care enough about the students), then maybe we can improve higher education for future generations.

While certainly a well-written and spiritually enriching read for any Christian who wants to think more on the topic of what a life on earth means....I read it several months ago and I don’t remember any revolutionary key take aways or lessons. The book, unfortunately, was rather forgettable in my opinion.

Lots of wonderful information on what gluten actually is and how to start the journey towards gluten free living...my main complaint is that most (if not all) of the recipes included were for experienced cooks. As a gluten-free living beginner, I was hoping for some less overwhelming options on what I can eat.

I’m giving this book 4 stars primarily because Glennon Doyle is a very compelling writer. She uses anecdotal evidence from her past to invite others (especially women) to live freer, more “untamed” lives.
