This is the final installment in the Ash's story in this series, and it did not disappoint. Ash has found his reason for living again, and it may or may not be because of a certain Dark Dweller-High Druid Princess. Raven has been on the run from what she's done to the son of the King of the Russian Mafia, and Ash has decided to help her find a way to run from her problems.
Ash is still on his path for vengeance, but helping Raven has become his priority. Just when they think they can't run anymore, some familiar faces show up and bring the reinforcements, but just in time for them to break into the Evil Fae Queen's lair and break up all her evil doings.
This series has been action packed from start to finish. With twists and turns and betrayals. It doesn't lack for violence and gore, but it also brings aaaaalllll kinds of spicy content to balance out the violence. Just all around a very adult series, and I absolutely loved it! I do think we may see a few more installments in this series, but with other unresolved side characters.

This is fully Ash's story after the events and war of The Savage Lands series. He lost more than one person he loved, and the grief has dragged him down into a deep dark pit of drugs and alcoholism.
Ash is hell bent on destroying those that took his loves from him, and on his way to Romania to kill the Fae Queen and her son, he finds himself stuck with a young shifter woman, who he saves from a burning building. She attaches herself to him and travels with him despite his lack of interest in her or life in general. Her need for protection keeps him on this side of the living world.
The more time he spends with her, the more he realizes that she is not as she appears. She has a dark and sordid past and people are after her for murder. He decides to continue protecting her and taking her with him thinking that she appear to be that dangerous.
I'm excited to read the next installment in Ash's story, and I hope it leads back to some of the other main characters from The Savage Lands series.

While this is not the last book in the series, this is the last book for Brexley and Warwick's story arc, and boy was it a WILD ride. Not for a second was there not action of some sort. Whether it be the spicy action, graphic fights, or prison/torture action.
This book starts with Brexley running away from what she did at the end of the last book. Warwick is beside himself trying to find her, even though he knows why she left, he doesn't agree with her leaving him.
However, Brexley's travels take her to a travelling circus that has a medium that is able to channel Tad's spirit, who is exactly who she needs to talk to to start understanding how to use and control her powers.
Warwick and Killian and Brexley's Uncle have been organizing the resistance against Ishtvan and his army of monsters. The battles that ensue are not without cost both of people they love and mental and emotion cost.
I really really enjoyed this series, and it is definately going into my list of absolute favorites.

This book is darker and more graphic then all the others in this series combined. While the first book had a very dark prison, where people were starved, beaten, and tortured daily, this book has a prison that is one step above even that prison. With a fighting pit where friend is pitted against friend and family is pitted against family.
Brexley and Warwick have fought there way out of survived Halahaz, but can the find a way out of Verhaza? While Brexley was somewhat of a nobody in Halahaz in Verhaza she has a target on her back from all sides and is being watched by all of the guards. Warwick had connections to the outside while in Halahaz and was essentially untouchable because he was king of the fighting pit. However, the Warden of this prison doesn't seem to care if Warwick is in fighting shape when he ends up in the fighting pits.
Brexley's former adoptive father has taken his role as dictator to the next level and has started to try and chemically convert humans into Fae to make them the superior race. However, he has only achieved making a race of genetically modified monsters.
Brexley's only hope is to try and break out and bring her uncle's army to Verhaza to try and break out all of her friends before they're beaten to death.

This are finally starting to align and reveal themselves. At the beginning of this book, Brexley now knows what and who she is. More or less, and why others have been drawn to her.
All of her allies are finally starting to see that they want the same thing, and are allying themselves against HDF. HDF has continued to experiment on turning humans fae while spouting that fae are the most evil thing to ever happen to planet earth. The HDF soldiers are completely oblivious to the horrors that there organization is exacting against innocent Fae, Shifters, and Half-Breeds.
Brexley is doing everything she can to stop the horrors at HDF while still saving as many innocent HDF soldiers as she can.
She's also completely drained her powers, so there is no longer people that are "drawn" to her. So, she's finding out who is really attracted to her for who she is and not what she is.
I really enjoyed this book because the moving parts are finally starting to align. Onto the next one!

While Brexley is just trying to find herself and what she is. Everyone is trying to use her in some way. She's heard repeatedly that people are "drawn to her" and all the while she wonders if anyone likes or loves her for who she is and not what she is, whatever that may be.

I complerely devoured this book. It took me less than 24 hours to read it, and it's not the shortest book. I IMMEDIATELY started the next one, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. This series is post-apocalyptic, dark fae romance, with a splash of Russian Mafia. This series is set in post apocalpytic Hungary and Romania with mentions of other places.
Brexley is being tossed from one power player to another without anyone really telling her why. At the beginning of this book, she's the prisoner of the Fae King of Romania, Killian, and she learns from him all the evil deeds that her adoptive father had been doing behind her back. She realizes that her adoptive father had been raising her and her friends from a young age to hate fae on sight without knowing who's side they're on.
After she's out of Killian's hold, she finds a couple different rebellion groups in the slums. Or rather, they find her. Everyone seems to want her for what she is and not tell her what she is.
I'm already part way though the next one. I couldn't stop. The more I read this series the more Mad Max vibes its giving me.

This book is grungy and dirty and savage, and I love it! Brexley Kovacs is in the human headquarters in Budapest, where she's been adopted by the current High General's family. Her father was a war hero in the Human-Fae wars and was a General, but is now deceased.
In this post apocalpytic world, the Fae have come out of hiding and have taken over ruling the world, and humans are no better than slaves now. Humans must fight day to day to find food and water, and many don't survive. The human headquarters, HDF, is the only place where humans of means live and thrive, which is where Brexley has been born and raised.
Brexley has been in love with the General's son, Caden, for years, but she doesn't know if he sees her as just his best friend and sister or something more. They continue to sneak out of the compound together and steal from the train that makes its way across Budapest, before it makes it to the Fae side of the city.
One night, they don't make it off the train in time, and Brexley ends up in Halalhaz, Death House, which is the prison run by the Fae. She's assumed dead by everyone that she knows and loves, and now she must fight her way through this prison of half breeds, fae, humans, demons, and shifters. Will she survive?
I'm so buckled into the ride and ready for more! I can't wait to see where this series takes me!

This story is raw and real. While the names of the people in this book may not have been real, the events happening to and around these characters were definitely real. This is the story of a Army Nurse that serves two tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Frankie has just finished her Bachelor's in Nursing when she learns that her brother was killed in action in the Vietnam war. She spends two months at a local hospital, where all they will let her do is help patients to the bathroom and plump their pillows, when she enlists in the Army as a nurse.
The Army immediately sends her to the biggest hospital in Vietnam where she sees more gruesome and gristly aftermaths of war than you could possibly imagine. While there, she goes from being a psych nurse treating the patients with head wounds, to being a surgical nurse where she seeing all the soldiers flown in directly from the front lines with everything from gunshot injuries to having body parts blow off with grenades.
From her family back home, she learns that the American Government is lying in every way they can about what is happening over in Vietnam, and they're sending soldiers directly into battle without even the full basic training.
Even after she finish her tours, she comes home to a vastly different America. One that doesn't thank her for her service, but spits on her for being a "baby killer" and for serving in a military that would do such amazing war crimes. Even if she didn't do those war crimes herself, but only healed soldiers and local villagers.
After her return from Vietnam, she experience several years of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and visceral nightmares. She learns that no matter who she's talking to that no one wants to talk about the Vietnam War, and what she experience. Most people don't even believe that she was there, because "there are no women in Vietnam serving."
Then as the war goes on, she starts to join a few protests, and a group run by families that have their husbands and son's as prisoners of war in Vietnam.
This story is gruesome and gristly but a story that needed to be told. It is extremely eye opening, and especially in today's political climate is a good story to keep in mind when you're watching today's news.
