Ms. Robinson is quickly becoming one of my favorite spicy writers. She knows how to pull me in with these descriptions of rugged Viking men who want nothing more than to satisfy their women during their heat.
This novella is set in the Viking Omegaverse world, but it happens some length of time before the first book. It is a good opener to this world and what the other books in the series are like. But it is a standalone and does not have to be read prior to starting the first one.

This book was ....crazy. I was so disgusted at times I felt ill to my stomach. I doubt I will ever want to read this book again, because of how it made me feel. Which is why I rated it 4/5 stars. The shock factor is definitely there. However, I usually read books to make me feel better or happy. This book did not do either of those things. Did it shock me and horrify me and disgust me? Most definately. Would I recommend this book to people who love to hurt while reading? Yes.
This book is much more interesting than the previous in the series. However, I still do not like the plot device where Kahlan and Richard are prevented from being married...again. The plague that visits the lands and the power players in motion kept me on the edge of my seat. I will definitely be reading the next one.
This book has a special place in my heart. If it hadn't been for Rhage's book, I probably wouldn't have continued on with the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I'm so glad I did! The first book was a little cheesy for me, but the depth of character and general banter and hilarity that Rhage brings to this series cemented me as a life long fan.
I recommend Black Dagger Brotherhood to all romance readers, and all readers who love action.

However, I have a few issues with this book. While I understand Mary's hesitancy to be in a relationship, the fact that she doesn't believe or trust Rhage for most of the book bothers me.
Then Rhage has a "slip up" and goes out to be with another woman at a bar. He is sick about it afterwards, but this breaks one of the most solid rules of the romance genre. Once the main couple meets, they cannot be with any other characters romantically. There are few authors that break this rule, and J.R. Ward is one of them.
It is necessary for the plot, since he never does it again. I wish this book was a little longer. However, we get much more of these two in the other books.

This is a short a sweet novella about some of the trouble that Jamie and Ian get into. This is after Jamie has seen Randal for the first time, but before Jamie has gone into hiding. I enjoyed revisiting these characters. Plus, I had never seen them quite so innocent. It was adorable.
This series just gets better and better. I don't have anything bad to say about this series. Other than I have to wait until October for the next book. This series has definately made its way into one of my all time favorite series. I will definately be recommending this to anyone who wants more Sarah Maas, Elise Kova, or Jennifer Armentrout.
The book completely surprised me. Usually I'm disappointed with the end of a trilogy, but I was not at all disappointed. The twists and turns and action. I will definitely be recommending this series to fantasy lovers and romance fans as well. It's not super spicy. But there is plenty of spice to keep you interested.
At the end of the second book, I was definitely skeptical that this series could end well, but I was happily mistaken.

I love how spunky Callie is. I know a lot of people have a problem with how young she is when they meet and start hanging out. However, the relationship is platonic for quite some time. I don't have a problem with it. Particularly because of the age gaps in other series. I also love the dichotomy of the book. How there is "regular earth" and the "fae world". You get the best of both as the reader.
The spice is good. I can't wait to see where their relationship goes. The ending was a SHOCKER!
