The series has moved forward in leaps and bounds. The sa'kui female who has been to young to mate with is now of age. She doesn't want just anyone. She doesn't want someone she grew up with. She wants someone who will cherish her for the woman she is, and not remember her as the young girl.

When a carrier space ship has to make a landing for repairs, it has several sa'kui people on board. Their species is a thousand years more advanced and they are no longer called sa'kui.

Farli is out hunting when she comes across this ship that has appeared out of no where.

The drama ensues and the village is turned upside down with this news.

Ruby Dixon's ability to make every one of these stories so different and yet the same is a gift. Each of these characters has their own challenges and their journey's are so different from each other.

Ellie has just arrived on this planet after having been a slave to several different alien's for most of her adult life. She trusts no one and almost never talks. She hides beneath layers and layers of dirt.

When Bek buys her and several other females to see if they will be mates for himeself and others, he just thinks he's doing the right thing by bringing women here who can be happy and make his friends happy. He doesn't understand what a slave is or what Ellie has endured. There is no such thing as slaves in his little village, and he's never heard of mistreating women.

Their journey to understanding one another and forgiving one another is a beautiful one.

This book has a unique beginning, but the rest of the book just seems too similar to the other books. There are interesting developments in the series. So, I will continue on to the next in the series.

I'm always blown away by Co Ho. She always finds a way to portray real life scenarios in the most heart breaking way. But somehow at the end of the book, you, the reader, are okay with it.

I don't understand how she wields this magic, but I will continue to read her books forever.

I have not read anything like this before. I found it very intriguing. It is very spicy. I'm not sure this is for me though.

I, personally, prefer that the love interest is more humanoid. The story is very sweet and fantasy filled.

It is very much a beauty and the beast retelling.

I enjoyed this Beauty and the Beast retelling. It is a very short a sweet story. I wish they were a bit longer to give the characters more time to get to know one another.

The story itself was very cute and engaging.

I loved this duology so much! This is definitely an original series and an original story. The setting, the characters, the plot development, it's all there and superbly written.

I'm so glad I waited to read this during spooky season. I don't think I've ever read a Dracula retelling.

That was a wild ride! I rarely think a book has good plot and good spice, but this book had both in spades! I will definitely be recommending this book to all who love vampires, witches, dark academia, and fated lovers.

Honestly, this series is enthralling. At least for me, these characters will be living inside my head for quite some time. I cannot get enough of them. Not only am I really invested in the characters, but the story is woven together masterfully. Rarely have I read a fantasy that is also an exception romance with amazing characters. This story takes the reader from beautiful intimacy to the grittiness war and heartache. You can't help but feel for these characters as they make their way through this war.

I will read any and all books that follow. Tamsin's journey started in such a different place from where she is now. Her Viking pack continues to learn from her and each other, as they navigate their way through this siege on Tamsin's homeland.

This book was cute, but it didn't grab me like the other books in the series have. I've come this far, so I will continue on with this series.
