Servant of Fear by Bryn Suddarth
4.5
Honestly this book is even more captivating than the first one. It continues on with the characters and the story perfectly, leading to the world getting more and more developed. I enjoyed all the new characters we met in this one. Very easy to read writing for someone like myself with ADHD who enjoys reading but typically takes months to finish a single book. Highly recommend

Spider-Punk: Battle of the Banned by Cody Ziglar
5.0
Since I first learn about Spider-Punk I've been absolutely obsessed, which of course grew as soon as Across the Spider-Verse came out. I've finally gotten around to reading his comics and that obsession has only grown. I love the twists on characters I already love. And I adore how cheesy Hobie truly can be. A lot of people just see punks as tough and hard and with no humor or anything like that, but most of us are truly just cheesy silly nerds who also dont want to be fucked with.
As someone with a mohawk, I love seeing the way mohawks are treated. Seeing Mattea Murdock and Hulk with the same fan mohawk but they're behaving differently for no reason is exactly how it feels to have a mohawk. I absolutely love it

The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
4.0
While I loved IWTV, I do feel this is a better book, it brought a lot more complexity to characters that were otherwise put as just black and white good or evil in Louis' story. However, I struggled with this book a lot. I struggled with some of how Lestat and his mom acted and I struggled with how much of it was just lore dump that we either could have learned last book or wait for another book to learn.
Nick and Charlie by Alice Oseman
4.0
i think its a super cute and short book that would honestly serve as a good introduction to the Heartstopper world to all of those who don't know it.
However it also falls short in some of how we know Nick and Charlie as characters through the comic.
This book was written before the comic ever started, and you can see how Alice Oseman has begun to know them as characters more now than they did back then.
However as someone in my early 20s who recently had to deal with friends going off to college and moving away and what all that means, all of the emotions between Nick and Charlie were very well written and felt almost too close to home at points.
