Sasha is the worst person ever and I wish there was more romantic tension/build-up. it was a slow burn that I felt was slow in a non romantic way?

I think that this had potential but I finished wanting more. I think that the romance was few and far between while the hockey was so highlighted that I felt like I was reading an ESPN report :/

The prospect of the grumpy girl and the sunshine boy was really exciting for me but I felt like these characters could have been developed into more than a hockey player and a tattoo artist who is angsty. I wish they had more of a romantic build-up.

The mental health rep fell flat for me as well... again I wanted more depth behind it.

I didn't have a bad time while reading it but after thinking about it there was just a lot missing for me. i don't think this author will be something I reach for in the future but I was able to sort of get into the story so it was a win in that aspect of escapism.

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I had a fun time reading this but it was not my favorite werewolf-related book ever. I liked the black cat x golden retriever vibes of this, I think they balanced each other out well. For the fangirl that resides inside of me I was living for the fan girl x celebrity story line especially because that is not always my favorite trope but that aspect of this book was done well. The communication between Alex and Devin could have been better, it felt like there was a lot of miscommunication that just went unresolved or in whatever character's POV there was an explanation but it was never said out loud. That would've changed a lot of the vibe of this book for me that I felt meh about. For the most part I had a good time reading this, just wanted more.

I am glad I stuck with it because I did enjoy seeing Caleb and Sarah reconnect after not getting into the book right away but it wasn't my favorite marriage in crisis 😕
