Fun and Exciting Read
A real page turner, and that's a lot coming from me. Unfortunately I have very little patience for a book that's slow, even if it's incredibly well written. This one is both. Excellent characters, just the right mix of humor, and paced like a hardcore interval workout.

Fantastic Read
I can understand why it got so big. I'm just sorry it took me this long to finally read it. Excellent story, compelling characters, and a plot that's simultaneously comfortably familiar and refreshingly unique.

Couldn't get past page 13
Sorry, the plot sounded interesting, but the flatness of the characters is nauseating. Example that convinced me to quit: We've literally met less than a dozen total characters - major and minor- and already the hero and inevitable love interest have spoken (once, incredibly briefly) and the author has bear us over the head TWICE with the seemingly magical connection they apparently share. Being that this isn't marketed as a Harlequin romance, this lazy writing bugs me. I have zero interest in spending the next four hours wading through it just to find out how those embryos appeared beneath the ice.

Excellent Thriller with a Clever Twist
I've read a lot of this type of book and it's difficult for authors to avoid some of the most common tropes and cliches. Even harder, I would guess, to develop a truly original plot and characters. Kaufman succeeds on both counts in this book. Well worth the read!
