Wow! What an absolutely devastatingly beautiful story.  I literally couldn't put it down. I ignored all responsibilities to devour this book.

Well that was super fun! I really like Katee Robert's dark romances and she did not disappoint with this Aladdin reselling where *Spoiler* Jafar is the "good"guy😍 scandalous and spicy and 100% cured my Onyx Storm hangover! This was the special edition with the authors annotations and special artwork and I absolutely loved it!!!

DID NOT FINISH: 40%

I was sent an ARC of this book and was very excited to read it as Academia Fantasy is my absolute favorite genre.  I made it about 40% in and had to DNF as I just wasn't enjoying it overall. The bones and plotline were there, but there was just too much repetitiveness of the same thoughts for me. I also couldn't tolerate the main female character, which was very immature and often spoke to the reader as if she were a stand-up comedian delivering a punch line . The constant use of "let me tell you" and lines of that nature were extremely distracting to me.

I did enjoy the one battle scene with the main female character using her powers, I could absolutely see the scene playing out in my head. I think a little more development of characters, fine tuning the plot line, and toning down the 1st person slapstick portrayal of the MFC with overall error editing would do this book wonders.

I don't like to give negative reviews, and I truly hope this book finds its base of readers. Thank you for the opportunity to review.

How does one review a book that makes you feel all the emotions?Where you are certain that these characters are real living people that you intimately know and love? That forces you to stare into nothing for 30 minutes in disbelief and awe? A book that makes readers everywhere have the same reaction of having to break it all down with their book bestie? Rebecca Yarros you are an absolute Mastermind and I honor you ❤️

This was surprisingly really good. You never know with some of the Kindle Unlimited Romantasy if its gonna be good or cringe! This checked all the boxes for me. Im invested and looking forward to book 2! The writing wasnt the absolute best and you can tell that the author pulled a lot of inspiration from other popular Romantasy works to create her story. That being said the character development is really well done and the romantic tension is delicious. I appreciate the conflict she has created for the characters as well.

Overall I was just underwhelmed.  I think so many peoplr hyped this up and I was expecting more.
Initially it was good, with a possible great in there. The dialog was fun and flirty with some humor. The initial smut was dark and spicy and well done.  Then at about 50% in it all changed and became a mafia story line and the transition was painful to read. The smut became like a step by step how to guide instead.
In a nut shell: the mafia twist ruined it, made it too long and cheapened the writing.  I was ready to give 4 stars until I had to dredge through the last 40%😐

Gahhhhh! This damn book is literal perfection! Alllllll of the books before led to this culmination of several story lines with key players all finally colliding and it was MAGIC.
Aelin Ashriver Galaythinius is the BEST female fantasy lead of all times!

I really enjoyed this autobiography by VP Harris.  It made me really loke her more and solidified that she and I have very many aligning views. I was sad a lot because we Americans reallu fumbled this 2024 election by passing her up for the Presidency. I truly believe she would have been amazing for our nation.
The chapters about her and Doug were so wonderful and I love their love❤️

Holy cow! What a book! I really enjoyed this one. It starts very much like all Romantasy books: fun world building, awesome little FMC, dark and broody male character but then it CHANGES! The end I truly never saw it coming and I can't believe the cliffhanger!!!! I need book 2 NOW!

A really beautiful story of resilience and the power of human connection and love.  Not sure I agree with it being classified as a thriller but whatever. A few criticisms:
1. The overgeneralizations of childhood autism symptoms
2. The need to illustrate body size/normalization/acceptance of negative body image/ED/body shaming. It just didnt add to the story and gave me the ick

I really loved the connection between Julia and Alice as well as the sense of self awareness that Ellie developed

Ultimately it made me cry and that is an automatic 4 stars always!
