The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

It took me a while to read this book because it didn't hook me in any way. I initially bought this book to read a children's classic, but oh boy, it is really just a children's book. The writing was basic, the characters were flat. Personally, I didn't like it.

I wouldn't really recommend this book, but you want to read it, go ahead... just don't expect an awesome read.

After reading this book I certainly can say that I understand fear much better than before. The way Kerr tells her story is entertaining AND educating! I loved how hooked this book made me feel! Not only do you get to understand physical fears or psychological, but also really deep fears such as death. Dude, this book is a must read. I'm really glad I picked it up at the bookstore.

To be honest, this was the first thriller I've read, and I loved it! The descriptions were on point, the characters were amazingly detailed, the feelings of some of them were explained too clearly (enough to make me feel what they felt). This book is a must read for everyone!

I really loved how Hawkins gave a voice to what (most) real relationships are like. No one is perfect and no couple is 100% happy. We all have ups and downs. This book was such a wake up call for people to be more considerate with their partners, and to not judge a book by its cover.

The Eye of Minds is a great easy read for people who want a fun and fast paced story. This has it's advantages and disadvantages. You are easily hooked and you don't get bored, but getting fond of the characters can take some time. The descriptions are didactic, the ships are great, the plot is hooking. It's a very basic read apart from the themes it touches (what is real?).

I really enjoyed this book. I recommend it.

The Rule of Thoughts in my opinion is a very good sequel for The Eye of Minds. It still has what made the first installment great: a good interaction between the main characters, adventure, and finally an unexpected plot twist. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the third and final one. Of course, the writing could seem somewhat childish, but I did enjoy it. It may not be a piece of art, but it is entertaining and fun.
