The Game of Lives by James Dashner

When it comes to The Mortality Doctrine series, I believe that the theme is very interesting and innovative. The Game of Lives though, leaves much to be expected. The characters become boring, confusing; and the plot just lacks interest at all. I honestly took a lot of time to read this book because I just didn't want to pick it up. I liked both predecesors, they were good, but this instalment of the series (even if it's the last of the trilogy) wasn't enough.

I'm a huge Pokémon fan and I can 100% say that this book captures all the experience and feel of the games. The protagonist, the rival, the evil team, gym leaders, the story; it's just so perfect. I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it for all (kids, teens, adults, etc).

It's a really good sequel to the first installment. It kept me entertained and fulfilled. I really enjoyed this read.

Friendship, that's what you need to train your Pokémon. Red shows us this throughout this amazing manga. It's packed with awesome battle scenes, emotional backstories, plottwists, remarkable character development, and great humour; what else could you wish for?

I really did enjoy reading this book; the Pokémon universe is something I'm really invested into and seeing it from Red's perspective was a wonderful experience. I recommend it to all. If you're a Pokémon fan you can't miss this story.

Honestly, I was kind of sceptical when I discovered the story would follow Yellow's adventures instead of Red's... now I can say, that it did not disappoint. Following Amarillo del Bosque Verde (Yellow), is a, not so subtle, way to mix things up; but all the feels of the first three books are untouched. This installment doesn't just give a fresh look at the Pokémon universe, but it also adds new and curious powers, and praises the original characters.

As always: excellent character development, amazing illustrations, great humour, super scary villains, adorable Pokémons... it's got it all.

To be totally honest, this story was somewhat interesting until it got to a point where it wasn't anymore. It's easy to read, but the plot started to become too childish for my liking. That's just my personal opinion. I didn't have any favourite character... I just couldn't relate to the story at all.

If you want to read The Chronicles of Narnia I would just recommend this one book. The story is catchy, super easy to read, and you get to like the characters. Mr. Tumnus is my fave. He's such a warm character, I don't know why I feel that way, I just do. Fauns are dope. I liked the Christian symbolism, I don't associate with any religion, but I thought it was a cool way to portray it. In any case, I don't believe this book is a game changer, but it was a nice read.

I really like the movie... I didn't like the book as much. Don't get me wrong, I liked some things from the book, ie. Peter's behaviour towards Caspian, Trufflehunter (I loved Trufflehunter), and the description of the battles. The thing that I didn't like is that the plot is just so bland. It's boring and uninteresting. You don't feel hooked to keep reading, and that's a huge turn off for me.

I'm just disappointed. After The Silver Chair, I thought the Narnia books would end up okay... I had SUCH A HARD TIME with this book. The plot is straight up boring and foolish. I just...

The ending I liked though.
SpoilerI really enjoyed how Lewis implemented the Plato theory.
But there's really nothing else to say.

This book is good. I enjoyed it, but a little slower than its predecessors. Nevertheless, I really liked where Amarillo's character development is going to, the art is amazing, humour on point as always, it's just a really pleasant read. Would totally recommend.
