perfect 2nd book to a series like this omg I’ve come to LOVE henry, i think his situation with Diana is genuinely making him a better person omg. Will and Elizabeth broke my heart, i feel like their story almost read like a Shakespearean play with a horrible tragic accident. so sad i hope she finds love again !!!

man 😭 a classic story of intense love that leads to destruction for everyone involved omg Catherine and Heathcliff were both insufferable tbh but maybe that’s why they were so obsessed with each other? v messy, but i also loved how the Cathy and Hareton’s story was a reversal of their parents’ and showed the possibility of undoing generational pain nd trauma!

like most contemporary poetry collections, some of these pieces are excellent and so moving and some are instagram captions…still impressive from someone so young, I just wish it flowed better and was more cohesive in the poems that were picked. favorite poems: “Sahara”, “Stardust”, and “closer to me” !

messy as hell omg i’m usually NEVER on a man’s side about anything but Feyi was so annoying and horrible towards Nasir tbh like ofc he feels hurt and betrayed…how would YOU feel if the situation was reversed?? just terrible and tbh i couldn’t buy into the magnetic attraction/love at first sight situation with the dad 🤷🏾‍♀️ interesting story just annoying (female) characters

like in Sula and beloved, at the center of this story is girls whose bond - once pure and loving, becomes poisoned by betrayal, and misunderstandings and the interference of men. i really hated how that old man destroyed christine and heed but wow what a beautiful conversation at the end 😭
