i cried reading the end as well as
the letters from conrad to belly. they truly personify him in the same way i imagined him like. it made me so happy because i love handwritten letters as a medium. it made me like conrad more.
this book was a good end to the trilogy. i live for the drama that follows belly and her boys.

this one is most likely the mid middle book and the final book should be the one popping off with a bunch of drama.

such a compelling narrative to dive into. it is so short and easy to read while also providing a powerful presence of our main character, firdaus. it is very heavy, but if you can handle it, please give it a read.

the show added a lot more to the story than the books do. however, i feel like the book is able to capture the essence of the characters better. i cried twice in the last few chapters and i'm not even sure why.

i feel changed and moved through this story. while being a victim, i willingly picked this book up to read it. i didn't imagine myself finding parts of it being triggering since our situations are vastly different. however, i did find myself in vanessa, even if it was a small part. this story has changed my perspective and made me understand i could move on. i am allowed to move on and i don't always have to be the person who is marked.

this was a school read, but it was truly so interesting until it came up to the second half of the book that made my brain hurt a little. i was so interested and immersed in the culture, but the colonalism aspect truly ruined such a beautiful story which i guess was the point of adding it. the end was actually a great way to end this, so i still think of the book highly.

this is actually a crazy thing to read as a college student with a bunch of scholarships who also feels her career should be many things, but has to be confined to one.
