One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

Este libro me lo recomendaron durante mucho tiempo pero por algún motivo no me atraía demasiado. Desde ya estaba muy equivocada, es una de esas historias que quedan grabadas en la mente... y también en el corazón. Lo que la hace tan especial es que es rara y para mi esta es la palabra que mejor la define por el hecho de que trata temas bastante fuertes como el incesto y la pedofilia narrados desde una perspectiva en donde este tipos de cuestiones parecen estar normalizadas, durante las primeras hojas estaba realmente horrorizada y muy indignada,todo el tiempo me preguntaba qué clase de texto estaba leyendo y me asombraba el hecho de que había obtenido un premio Nobel, pero al mismo tiempo no podía parar de leerlo porque Gabriel García Márquez era y sigue siendo un autor excelente.Creo que este es un tema muy importante a la hora de recomendar esta historia porque a medida que el lector va avanzando en la lectura se va dando cuenta de que esa supuesta normalización al estilo de Lolita(dejaré esta cuestión para otro momento) es en realidad una crítica a todas estas cuestiones lo cual lo hace sumamente interesante por el hecho de que el que lo lee está constantemente manipulado y no tiene ni idea de lo que está leyendo.
La historia transcurre en un pequeño pueblo llamado Macondo en donde se relata la vida de una familia:Los Buendía. Somos testigos de varias generaciones, lo cual me parece fascinante porque nos hace encontrarnos con una gran variedad de personajes,que a pesar de que todos se llaman igual son muy diferentes y complejos,todos ellos tienen una cosa en común que es la soledad y también...una maldición que ustedes mismos deberán interpretar.
La mayoría de sus personajes son muy oscuros, causan repulsión y están demasiado corrompidos,me parece muy interesante ya que no son del tipo que yo estoy acostumbrada a leer. Disfrute mucho de la excelencia de todos ellos,pero en especial, de los personajes femeninos porque las mujeres Buendía(en su gran mayoría) son mujeres poderosas de armas a llevar y tienen muchas frases increíbles que lograron hacerme sentir identificada y también viva. Este libro es un diamante en bruto, pero hay que armarse de paciencia, es todo lo que se necesita para amar a los mortales y leer un libro inolvidable.

This book was recommended to me for a long time but for some reason it didn't appeal to me too much. I was very wrong. It is one of those stories that remain in the mind ... and also in the heart. What makes it so special is that it is rare and for me this is the word that best defines it. It deals with topics such as incest and pedophilia narrated from a perspective where these types of questions seem to be normalized, during the first pages I was really horrified and very indignant, all the time I wondered what kind of text I was reading and I was amazed by the fact that he had won a Nobel Prize, but at the same time I couldn't stop reading it because Gabriel García Márquez was and still is an excellent author. I think this is a very important topic when people recommend this story, as the reader goes advancing in the reading, he realizes that this supposed normalization in the style of Lolita (I will leave this topic for another time) is actually a criticism of all these questions, which makes it extremely interesting due to the fact that the person reading it is constantly manipulated and has no idea what's going on.

We are witnesses of several generations, which I find fascinating because it makes us meet a great variety of characters, that despite the fact that they all have the same name they are very different and complex, they all have one thing in common: loneliness and also ... a curse that you must interpret.
Most of his characters are very dark, they cause repulsion and they are too corrupted, I find it very interesting since they are not the type that I am used to. I enjoyed the excellence of all of them, but especially of the female characters because the Buendía women (the majority) are powerful women with weapons to wear and have many incredible phrases that managed to make me feel identified and also alive. This book is a diamond in the rough, but you have to arm yourself with patience, it is all it takes to love mortals and read an unforgettable book.
