4.5* - WOW. I fully had no idea if I liked this book until near the end. That might sound like a negative point, but I assure you it’s not. This is one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read? I found myself so confused about whether or not I was enjoying it for different reasons, but once I finished and closed the book I was in complete shock and admiration. It’s such a silly premise, but ultimately leaves a lasting impact as the story gets more intricate. And that ending!!!!!!! I cannot wait for the sequel.

This was such a beautiful reading experience for me!! I listened to the audiobook while reading the physical book and it was so beautifully written. It transported me back to reading childhood favorites while still being a very heavy and sad topic. This was so very sad and heart-wrenching.

I’m soooo sorry to the booktube community for this one hahahaha. This book was rough for me, y’all. It’s so hard for me to be this bored reading a mystery...and yet. Nothing.....happened in this book? The story dragged on and there was zero payoff at the end. I didn’t feel close to the characters either. Nothing clicked for me with this story, unfortunately.

My frail heart. I loved this book so much. It was heartbreaking, but such an important read. I loved reading from the main character’s perspective. I loved all of the characters and felt super connected to everyone. Also, I would kill for Ocean.

I’m.....very sad I didn’t enjoy this book. I honestly thought I would adore it and at first, I was super into the story. I think the story really fell flat for me when it came to the romance. Like....it was so unnecessary and done so poorly in my opinion. It threw me off and I couldn’t get back into the story. I DNF’d this book pretty close to the end.
