I don’t think I’ve ever read something with THAT MANY plot twists. Wow!!!! This was amazing start to finish. Couldn’t put it down and the themes discussed are very terrifying w the way technology continues to evolve. Watch out, y’all.

I was really hoping the slow-burn plot was going to be worth the wait for the plot twist ending but....uuughhhhhhh!!! It’s definitely not the worst thriller I’ve ever read, I had fun reading it at times. I couldn’t stop reading the last 3rd of the book, but the ending was somewhat predictable and didn’t shock me as much as I wanted it to. Lock Every Door is on my October tbr, so I’m hoping I give that one a higher rating. Fingers crossed!

WOW. Before I say anything, I have to note that this book IS NOT for everyone. Trigger warnings for....basically everything you can think of. This is one of the most compelling stories I’ve ever read. This is a biography that reads like fiction because of how insane the stories and horrifying the life of this woman was. I understand that many people think Sandra is an awful person, but at the end of the day....we are all flawed and make mistakes. I don’t agree with a lot of what Sandra did. Another complaint I’ve seen is that the book is all over the place, which.... yeah...Sandra is unreliable in her retelling of her life because of what she endured. Trauma does that to a person. I listened to the audiobook along with the physical copy and it was amazing. Highly recommend the audiobook.

I really don’t know how to express how much I love and adore this graphic novel. I cried so much!!!! This is such a relatable story, even though there’s a scifi element. I never wanted this story to end, it was too darn sweet and heartbreaking.

I really really loved the first half of this book. I think I went into it with too high of expectations since Evelyn Hugo is one of my all time favorite books, but it was still enjoyable. Of course, because of the premise of the book, some things got very repetitive and I did find the story dragging a bit. Even so, I still couldn’t put the book down because of how much I love TJR’s writing and characters. The premise and characters are what saved this book from being a 3.5 ⭐️ book for me. TJR has IT when it comes to creating real, human characters. The first half of this book had me straight CHEESIN’. It just dissipated as I read on, so I hacked a ⭐️ off. Can’t wait to read more TJR books!

3.5-4 stars! I completely agree with most of the reviews I’ve seen of this book. The last 200 or so pages were SO repetitive and I ended up just skimming through them to finish this book. The first 500 pages were AMAZING and I was thoroughly creeped out. I just wish the ending followed suit.
