Can’t believe I had never read this series before. It’s really good. Can’t wait to get my kids involved in reading this.

This book has a good plot but a TON of “spice”, if you catch my drift. It’s a great story, if you can handle the spicy scenes, but I feel like, if you’re reading Hoover, you already know to expect those. The backstory is absolutely heartbreaking and there are parts about child loss and teenage pregnancy. Some people don’t like to read about that, as it can be quite the trigger for their own past/trauma. I don’t want to ruin the plot for anyone who wants to read it and see the story unfold on their own, so I did want to mark this as having spoilers.

Way more heartbreaking than the movie, and so much better!

It was a good book. Way different than the movie, which is to be expected with book to movie adaptions. Loved that it had a much larger backstory to the two main characters and it shows Lon’s POV as well. Still, I enjoyed the movie better. The book was good, but I feel like it was so slow-moving that I got very bored at times. I almost gave it up completely at one point, but I pushed through. Really, a very good book but no passion (I’m not talking spice, I’m just talking about writing style).

This is a HEARTBREAKING story that was told incredibly well. I like the switch between “back when” and “current day”. It was smooth in transition between the two and I really enjoyed the different POVs. The fact that this was based on true events breaks my heart.

This book is written in an interview setting which makes it very unique. The characters play against and with each other in their retellings of how history (fictional history) went down. This book is incredible!

100% a 5 star review coming from me on this one. If you like fantasy fiction, this book is for you. It is SO good at leaving you on the edge of your seat. I lost so much sleep because I did not want to put this book down at all. Can’t wait to read the second book to this series and see where the characters go from here.

Not to mention- that ending???? Talk about a plot twist!!!!

This book was EVEN BETTER than ACOTAR (book 1 of the series). I don’t want to give anything away, but I couldn’t put it down. I lived, breathed and dreamed ACOMAF. The twists and turns it took had me blown away at every turn of the page. Maas is a genius. I am moving onto the next book in the series now and can’t wait to see what it holds in store for the characters.

This is the best book I’ve ever read in my life.
By far the best of the series so far.
