This is my favorite anime of all time, so I figured I'd give the manga a shot. So far, it is proving to be amazing. The only reason why I gave it a 4.5/5 is because it is sometimes difficult to read the text with the art style they have on the "Death Note" pages.

4.25

Most of the stories I rated from a 3.5-5, but collectively I think I would rate this collection of short stories a 4.25/5.

There were several that stood out to me, particularly "Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream," the Cujo sequel "Rattlesnakes," and "The Answer Man."

Some of the stories are surprisingly quite sad, so that was something I was surprised by. I don't think I would read this again, but I definitely had a hard time putting it down. Perfect for spooky season or if you are wanting some reflective, tense short stories.

Liked it even better than the first book. I can't wait for the next one in the series. Chizmar is becoming one of my favorite authors. The way he writes fiction as if it's a believable nonfiction story is incredible.

Such a cute picture book with a surprisingly deep story about a cat who loses its owner and finds its way through France. I love the impressionist illustrations of different areas of France as well.

Kill Bill is my favorite movie of all time, so I felt I needed to see "Bill's" aspect of the making of the film. I liked the diary aspect of the writing, but some comments about a particular Harvey we all hate haven't aged well.
No Beast So Fierce: The Terrifying True Story of the Champawat Tiger, the Deadliest Animal in History by Dane Huckelbridge

This was recommended to me on Storygraph through my "Out of My Comfort Zone" recommendations, and I will say it was a pretty decent read.

There were sections I found that were unnecessary, such as the author's constant usage of "One could have imagined...," which draws the reader away from the legitimacy of the story. Another thing I found challenging is the use of the foreign language terms without describing them fully for the reader.

After reading it, I have learned more about Nepal, tiger hunts, and exactly what elements push such a majestic animal to hunt human beings. To be honest, I felt kind of sorry for the Champawat tiger by the end of the story.
