Red Thorns by Rina Kent

Man oh man I have missed this little universe. After reading about these 2 in the ‘Lies and Truths’ duet I was so excited to learn that we got Sebastian and Naomi. Then we get into it and see we have the chase 🫠. Everything. It’s been a while since I have read anything with a good chase and once again Miss Kent doesn’t disappoint. These two though. Man oh man. I laughed. I cried. My heart broke a little it’s the perfect combo. I thought I knew where this was going but alas, it went no where. I loved watching these 2 find a home in each other where they could both be thier dark selves and it was ok. It started with a bet, but you could very clearly see that Sebastian really did want her and really just needed the push. The obsessiveness. 🫠 yes. This whole book was a wild ride. Then of course. It’s not a true duet ending without a rude cliffhanger when it comes to Rina. I can’t wait to get answers.

Welp. Insert new friend group I’m about to make my whole personality. I will say, I was not so sure about this at first but then the more I read the more I fell in love. Alistair and Briar. These two just 😮‍💨. Watching them together just go back and forth I couldn’t stop giggling. Briar literally gave no shit and just bit right back at this man. Alistair. Sweet mans, his story broke my heart and I just wanted to crawl through the screen and just hug and love him. I’m so glad he found someone that showed him he is lovable even if it’s thier own little way. This story has me hooked and I cannot wait to see how all this plays out. And that ending 🤯. I did not see that coming. I’m so excited to see what happens in this little town. Things are about to blow up I fear.

Once again Miss Blue doesn’t disappoint. I am in such a slump and this brought me out a little. I fell in love with this little world when I read the first one and was so excited to learn there’s gonna be more. Lincoln and Pen… they were so much fun to watch. Then watching Lincoln just fight and do whatever to get Pen 🫠 ugh just yes. Then sweet Pen. Her finally putting herself first and do what made her happy and realizing everything was real and it was gonna be ok just made my heart so happy. This little couple. I love them. I can’t wait for the next one 😈

Oh Michael Cirst. They can never make me hate you. I’m a Corrupt girlie through and through 💅🏼. I don’t know why I’m so in love with this one. But it’s honestly my favorite of the series…(still have Nightfall though 💀- I know. I know) anyways. Michael and Rika. Just yes. I love them. So much. They have my heart. This book is just such a good way to start the series. You get good foundation and rereading it something’s I read just made me chuckle cause I was like ‘ah yes’ from the other books. I love when things are right there and you don’t realize until you go back and it’s always just so fun. I always forget how much a do love this book. Just watching Rika give no shits and yelling and fighting right back just yes. She grew into herself and I love that about her. Then we have Michael. Sweet, sweet Michael. He really did love Rika and him slowly realizing that will forever have my heart. All the small things he did for her that she never really knew about just because he cared for her really more than anyone else she had. Anyways. Excited to go back in this world 🩶

Oh my Haidyn. My sweet baby Haidyn. I knew going into this I was gonna fall for this man and boy did I. Him and Ryat will forever be my number 1. We see a glimpse of him in Carnage and that is when he really took my heart. This book. This book was EVERYTHING. I cried, I laughed, my jaw dropped. I’m still just in a state of not knowing what to do with my life since I finished it… or did it finish me? This book has become my Roman Empire. It’s just had everything and I will always think about this man and little bag, we love to see it 💀. Then we have the story. Miss Shantel. Ma’am. Your mind blows me away. I did not know where any of this was going. Then the dots. My god, everything just came together and also left so many more questions. The amount of time “oh shit” came out of my mouth… I lost count. Then we have my sweet unhinged golden retriever Haidyn. My god, I knew he went through some shit but this man really went through it all. He literally took it… for everyone and my heart hurts. I cried. So much. Then you have C and when it tells you who she is… the scream I scrum. Then you are hit again with who she is and I was blown away. She was such a bad ass and watching her start to have feelings then realize it and realize how screwed she was just made me giggle so hard. Then she starts to grow and realize who she is and doesn’t push her down anymore and just becomes this wonderful thing of herself. She literally stole my heart. The way she and Haidyn were together. The fact that he felt safe and she also found someone who she could be herself with hit so close to home. I quite love these two together. The ‘Dance with me Mrs. Reeves’ will forever be my favorite scene in this whole book. However, I will ever be able to listen to ‘Broken’ by Seether and ‘You Are the Reason’ by Calum Scott the same ever again. I will never not come back to this man and them when I hear it. Now I sit and wait for the Audiobook so I can go back to this little world and Spade Brother who I love so dearly.

Oh Pike. I forgot how good this book hits. 😭. This is one of those books that I could reread every year and not get tired of it. This was my very first age gap/ exs dad book and it will always be a favorite of mine. Jordan and Pike are everything. I haven’t read this in a couple of years and I honestly forgot how much a really did love this story and these two. It’s always fun to go back and visit and see thier story unfold. Jordan, I love her so much and the fact that she just is over it. If you want her you fight for her. And sweet Pike, watching him finally put himself first will always make my heart happy. So here is to the Birthday girl and the Daddy of all daddies. ♥️

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

This was supposed to get me out of a reading slump not put me into one… 😫. This was my first Emily Henry book and man, I’m so sad I waited this long. This book was absolutely perfect. I laughed so hard. Charlie and Nora, wow. I love them so much. This book was perfection and no one can change my mind. Nora and Libby and thier adventure was the cutest thing. The love they have for each other really just makes my heart smile. Then we have sweet Nora. Watching her truely grow and get her happy ending while learning it’s ok to be away from the people you love. Then we have Charlie. My god. This man. The banter. The way he just loves Nora the way she is and just goes with it. The gentleness that she needed. The way these two just compliment each other are able to come alive while together was just yes. 

Then the epilogue. This was the most unique epilogue I think I have ever read. At first I thought it was still from Nora’s POV but when you finish it something completely different and it was just the perfect way to wrap it all up. I cried a little reading the last page because it was just perfect. This book is probably going to be a yearly read for me. It’s a perfect read for book lovers. 🩵

Don't Kiss the Bride by Carian Cole

This book is one of my favorite comfort reads. I read this every year and the 4th time still hits as hard as the first. I don’t know what it is about Jude and Skylar but these 2 are just one of my absolute favorite couples. They just compliment each other so well despite the age difference. This book just feels like home and always helps me out of a slump and always just makes me so happy.

Reckless by Elsie Silver

I was a Rhett girlie through and through….. and then we get to Theo…. This man. I cannot. He captured me from the first time Winter saw him and girl. I understand. I get it. This book, I think this is honestly my favorite book in the series so far. I’m usually not a pregnancy girlie but Elsie Silver just writes them so well. I was a little upset when we get those texts from Theo because I didn’t understand and was so confused. Then we find out and he acted the way I thought he would. These 2 capture my heart unlike any other the others so far. Winter, man, she’s just superwomen. Watching her slowly let the walls fall and realize she is lovable and not alone and can trust this little group made me cry a little. Then Theo, always treated her like a person and changed so he could be a better man for her when he went back to get her. I smiled. I giggled. I cried a little. All around will be reading again because these 2 are everything.

I fear… I have fallen more than I thought I would for this group. Wow. That. That was a hard good-bye. Umm. I don’t even know where to start. This book and series was a wonderful and sad ride all at the same time. It’s been a while since k have cried during a book and if you know, you know. Ya girl was NOT prepared for that. Elise and her Kings have my heart in such a hard chokehold. I know it’s not officially good bye due to seeing them in Zodiac but man. This was the perfect ending to a perfect series. I had some hope but alas it got crushed. I honestly don’t have words for this book because it was honestly just perfect for me. Watching the 5 of them come together and just love each other wven though the history wasn’t so great just made my heart so damn happy. The twisted sisters have done it again. I don’t think I have read anything by them that hasn’t taken up a place in my heart yet. I fell in love with Gabe in Zodiac and he still forever has my heart. But also the big grumpy storm dragon has also taken a piece of it. I can’t wait to see these babies again. I will be back to visit shortly because I already miss them.
