5 star read!
Áine is an employee who works at a B&B set in Dublin. She is a strong character, with great feminist beliefs and a passion for reading. Fionn is recovering from a gambling addiction, recently out of rehab. He is searching for his new beginning but stumbles into the B&B for one night only before jet setting off across the world.

It’s been six years since Áine and Fionn last lay eyes on each other, and with their last meeting left with many things unsaid, could this be the one night that changes everything? Or will the fact Fionn is leaving first thing the next morning or Áine’s worries over becoming vulnerable ruin the only night they have together?

This is a standalone novel named ‘Flourish by the Night’, which has a dual POV. Something that was incredibly interesting was that you could start the book on either chapter one or chapter two, as well as further into the book with chapter seventeen and eighteen. These chapters are interchangeable and are from two different viewpoints of main characters Áine and Fionn. I started with chapter one, from Áine’s stance.

This book has all I have been able to think about since I started it. It truly has captured me, Áine and Fionn are so real and so pure. I love the setting of the story, the names, the background. It definitely has become a comfort read for me. I started to feel almost protective over the two characters as they continued on their journey together. I so badly wanted what was best for them. I don’t want to say too much so I won't spoil the book for you all, but when I say I was on the edge of my start, it would be an understatement…

The song recommendation at the end was entirely beautiful and wrapped up the ending. I felt if it was a movie, that would be the song to finish the scene!

After receiving this kindly as an ARC, I will be purchasing a physical copy when it is released on February the 3rd 2024. Be sure to check it out!!!

Tropes: Religious themes, second changes, slow burn romance, forced proximity, no closed doors, small town.
Please make sure that you check trigger warnings advised by author Laura, before reading the book. These are the following; Cancer, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, Catholic religious discourse and recurring blasphemy, gambling addiction, smoking, poverty, sex and nudity.

This story is from FMC Rowan’s point of view. Rowan catches her boyfriend in bed with another girl and leaves immediately with only the clothes on her back and her beloved car. Rowan gets attacked by a mysterious being, but Rowan settles with it being a wolf… or was it? Rowan wakes up in a strange place, surrounded with people who claim that they can shift into animals and all belong to a pack. They tell Rowan that she is just like them. When she is just about to make a run for it, a promise of ten thousand dollars keeps her there. Rowan partners with Callan to find the killer so that she would be given the promised money. The story follows this journey, but is PACKed (hope you get the pun lol) with lots of twists and turns.

This book was so interesting! The first few chapters of the book gave me Bella from Twilight vibes, where she moves to a new town and learns about all these new magical creatures.

If you have read this book, you will know it absolutely keeps you on your toes, you just do not know what is going to happen next. There were so many shocking revealing truths that my jaw was on the floor for half of the book. It kept me so intrigued. I am definitely going to be reading the next book, as we were left on a cliffhanger!!!

I will not speak too much on the actual events so that I do not spoil the book for you.

I really enjoyed The Other Women by Jane Green. It was the first book from this author that I have read and I would definitely look into buying some more from her.

I gave this story a 4/5. I felt really involved with the characters, especially Linda, Ellie and Dan, who I felt were the main characters. I did also love Emma's involvements with Ellie and seeing their friendship grow.

Potential spoilers-
This story follows Ellie's life after getting married to Dan. Dan is heavily involved with his family. His mother Linda is very controlling and Ellie starts to realise to what severity after marrying into the family. In my opinion, there was a few things I found what Linda said absolutely shocking, down to every small comment she made about Ellie's lifestyle choices or appearance. I can 100% see Ellie's side to why she feels so distant from allowing Linda fully into her life. I really was team Ellie if I'm going to be honest. Then baby Tom came along and things seemed to become more aggravated with Linda and Ellie's relationship. I do feel that Ellie should have stuck up for herself a lot more than she did, and Dan should have supported his wife and not just keep saying he doesn't want to be involved.

I really felt for both Ellie and Dan when they were separated. I did actually shed a tear when they finally had the conversation about being apart. It didn't feel right for them not to be together, not after all they had been through, so I was happy they did get back together. However, on this note, I would have liked to see more of their relationship while they were getting back together. I did feel the ending was quite rushed after being with them at each stage of their relationship development.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable read and I would recommend.

I really enjoy the second book of this series. I felt truly captured by the characters and involved in their personal and interlinked stories.

I felt there was a huge improvement even in the writing style. Again I loved to see the story from a male pov, this was really interesting. The spicy scenes also felt like they were took to the next level (in a good way).

There was a topic of grief, which I felt was done nicely and made me feel more connected to Aurora. I do truly love the relationship between Aurora and Johnny.

I feel very grateful to have received this as my first E-book ARC read. ✨

Definitely recommend Aurora and Johnny’s love story. You will be hooked!!! ❤️‍

This was definitely a YA read but one that has been sitting on my tbr shelf for years. So I decided to just grab it and go with it.

I actually ended up enjoying it. It was fluffy, fast paced and overall an easy read.

It follows Kendra Bishop who writes to a reality TV show that offers the chances for teenagers to swap families.

The drama that unfolds is actually quite fun, and I did love the relationship development between Kendra and Mitch.
