Really liked it. Loved every character’s pov and that’s hard for me. Elspeth. Taxus. And Rowan. Renelm and Ione. They were all great.

Took a minute to get into (not interested until about 1/4 of the way through. Fully Invested a little after 40%). Liked the plot. wasn’t a fan of the history and story book tales to begin with but that’s my own issue and I understand why it’s in there. Ended up cheering more for the romance than I thought I would so yay! Overall, an enjoyable read! Now, to see if they can figure out how to save her in the next book…

<<<SPOILERS>>>

Overall, an enjoyable read. But felt like the new and improved throne of glass. Acotar is still my favorite series which I wasn’t sure it would be when I got to crescent city 2. I liked the mixup of the universes and honestly, I really like Bryce and her story too. Love her mom. But I don’t like how it was predictable that everyone would become the leader of X house/world/people in the blink of an eye and that it’s how Bryce is able to save the world. It just felt very TOG to me. At least in ACOTAR, most everyone is already a ruler besides the archeron family so it doesn’t feel as forced. And HOW did NO one die?? I didn’t even cry when Bryce supposedly did because Maas does it every time to the heroine and every time, they are brought back to life almost instantly. So yes, overall, loved being in the Maas universe and felt like a good SJM book but it felt like a remaking of her first series…

Enjoyable read. Loved that it’s Nora ephron inspired. Josh and Ari’s relationship is cute.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Seems like a good book. I just wasn’t prepared for the topic of death and the talk about the physical reasons why he died.
