Oh my.

Talia and Sever met under traumatic circumstances as children, and make plans to escape together. Sever escapes but is injured too badly to help when Talia is caught and killed.

Sever swears he’ll avenge the girl who saved his life, and when we meet him again 15 years later, his plan to get justice is already in motion.

Except Talia didn’t die. She survived, and she’s got a list of the people who need to pay for what they did to her.

This was a really beautiful story. I loved that that Talia and Sever saved each other. And OBVIOUSLY it was hot af.

Winnie and Rhett are so sweet. After growing up together, they dated for a summer before he went off to play professional hockey. His plan was always to retire in their hometown, and a torn ACL (MCL? one of the big ones) accelerates that plan. And if he gets to spend his time wooing back the love of his life, even better.

Rhett is the least problematic male main character I’ve read in a MINUTE. He’s just a man obsessed with his best friend’s sister, and willing to do whatever it takes to win her over!

I loved the anxiety disorder rep. Winnie is hardworking and loyal, and the portrayal of her fight with her own brain was so realistic and awesome.

Great debut! I hope we get Colt and Marigold next!

The heroine is a badass, and I loved her. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two main characters.

Fabulous YA Peter Pan retelling with a twist - Peter Pan is the bad guy and Captain Hook is the hero!

Such a fun read. The idea of inheriting a villain’s enterprise is hilarious, and the talking cats and unionizing dolphins are really the cherry on top of an absurdly hilarious read.

What a masterpiece! Quique’s summer is full of pining and angst and questioning. He makes a lot of dumb choices, and he learns a lot about himself and how he fits into his world. Excellent storytelling.

Cute story, but it’s too interesting of a premise to be 700 pages of sex. I wanted more plot!

Great read! My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough!

What a delightful, hilarious read! It’s campy and irreverent and so, so wonderful. When Buffy’s wedding night goes south, she ends up married to a demon and seeking revenge on the cult that set her up to be a sacrifice.

Wrath is a dream - he’s all  “touch her and die,” but he’s not pressed about who does the killing. He’s happiest when he’s watching his wife spill the blood of her own enemies.

Such an interesting story! Shesheshen is a shapeshifting monster that’s awoken early from hibernation by monster hunters. She eats one and chases off the rest, and heads out to town to remind the townsfolk that she’s a scary monster. On the way, she meets Homily, and is immediately enamored. She finds out that Homily believes her family has been cursed by the monster in the area, and joins the hunt to find and kill the monster until she can figure out how to break the curse and get the girl.

I’ve never read a book like this! It’s hard to say what genre it is. There’s romance, action, mystery, and some horror elements (some of the depictions of violence are a bit gruesome). I definitely did not see most of the book coming!
