Okay so I love Poirot stories, and I love love love Hugh Fraser so I physically can't rate this book lower than 2.5. However, I really didn't like it. I love cozy murder mysteries with quirky detectives, I don't love action packed James Bond type stories. This story comes across as oddly paranoid and it all goes on for too long. But we did get a Hastings wifey mention, so points for that!

The Fellowship of the Ring is really good. It's well written, the world is super interesting and developed, and the characters are fun to follow. It's a classic fantasy book, and I loved the vibe of it.

But, the only thing I didn't like is the amount of telling instead of showing. Whether it be parts of the adventure or the relationships between characters, they aren't really developed through the story they're described in one sentence. I know that if Tolkein would've showed more the book would've been a lot longer, but I enjoy reading books with stories built on character developed, so I was a little bit disappointed.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 56%.
I have discovered that I dislike listening to smutty books in an audio-book format. Also, "prick" "spend", I can't handle the terminology
