This book felt like one big mess. It feels like there is just no space to really breathe here. Like a bad soap opera. Stuff is happening but it feels unneeded or there's drama that is also unneeded.

I feel as we go on I just start disliking the relationship more and more as well as Violet as a character. It's just the same type of arcs over and over and quite honestly it feels like she had little progress in this book when it comes to her power.
Powers I suppose since she has two but that second one wasn't even explored at all other then a small reveal and unneeded dreams.

Also the only plot I respected, the part where Andarna is send away, is almost instantly void when she shows up again? Girl you been gone like two weeks this makes no sense. At least keep her for the next book.

I really thought the second book improved itself after the first but this book was doing way way too much. The phasing was just hard to get through. I understand there's a war going on but at the end of the day they're still students in training. Right now, they don't feel like it at all.

I very much enjoyed this book. The way it was written like a fairy tale is really my kind of story. It was charming and enjoyable.

However I did not enjoy the romance plot for this story. It just didn't hit that much for me. I think it would have been beter if it was all friendly in this book because the big plot in this book didn't seem to give enough air for the romance to blossom.

I also just didn't vibe with the brothers well. Some just felt not expolored at all just some side lines in between. You barely get to know most of them and even in the main plot it was very ehh.

I also wished the mother plot had more of an impact but it just didn't quite hit the spot for me. At least she was a flawed woman instead of the evil stepmom in the end.

It really gave me everything I needed from it. Whimsical feel with dangerous faeries.

The main character is written amazingly. She's very realistic and flawed in a good way to me to the point of getting hetself in situations both good and bad. I loved het relationship slowly building with the village it was really endearing.

The chemistry was also really nice between her and Wendell. They are very cute together and I can't wait to read more on their adventures together.

Normally not my type of read but I saw it on my audiobook platform and was curious. This book is rough and raw. Jennette has really gone through a lot making you wonder if she ever even got to be a kid. For an abusive mother, a neglectful father to a codependent relationship at the end.

It seemed like everything was stacked against her. But it seems in the end she starting building the stones of her new life outside of her mom, eating disorder and alcohol.

I find this book to hit me better then the first did but damn did that ending not satisfy me very much.

The whole sword thing was ridiculace to me especially having Iris do that. Kinda silly in my opinion.

Also Enva just being extremely useless... Like c'mon have an epic god fight in the background while the journalists do journalist things.

I really enjoyed this book a lot more then the first. Felt more connected to it and the characters.

Also less butchered Dutch in this one even though the hutspot made a comeback haha.
