And so.. the dark days begin.
I loved all the small things in this book i'd forgotten about : winky, hermione's fight to help house elves, the twins' start in the business world, and most of all just how good and nice Dumbledore actually is in the books.

Thank you to the publishers and net galley for providing an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This graphic novel went above and beyond my expectations.
It deals with teens navigating through school, trying to make friends and staying true to themselves. But most importantly it teaches us to stand up for what's right, stand up to bullies and see life as it is despite our struggles: worth living.
The characters are deeply relatable and the art is really nice.
I might have cried a little... A couple of times. Or five.

Although it has nice interesting characters, I felt like some sence of plot/urgency/something was missing to make this book really gripping.
(Also, I can't quite get how they managed to care about each other so quickly & intensely in such a short amount of time...)
Despite this it was a nice book I managed to gobble up pretty quickly and I'll be honest... I'm curious to read the second book. Bring it on!

This graphic novel is in fact a collection of five short tales from prewar Spain. The darkness of the tales comes out really well in the pretty but dark artwork. I find it slightly disappointing that I was too confused and that I only fully understood the tales once I read the two or three explanation paragraphs at the end... Despite this I still recommend this graphic novel to anyone looking for dark and eerie tales.

On paper this seems to be everything I would love the most librarian demiace MC working with a emotion-feeling alien robot in a space-ish setting.
But the fact that there were so many 21st century pop culture references (potter, THUG, Coldplay...) felt weird.
I appreciate the importance of art (through books and music) in this story but how it was all out together and written just.didn't impress me as much as I wanted it too.
Also, their relationship is instalove even though they try to say it isn't.

Fun, whirlwind of an adventure, set in space. With twists you see coming a mile away that then hit you with another twist you weren't expecting.
Shaun David Hutchinson manages to incorporate perfect sci-fi elements to a love story that you can't help but root for.
