A recovered alcoholic-misogynist girl chasing protagonist. Narcissistic ego inflated dribble. I choose the bear and would like my three hours back.

A solid 3.5 - not my typical type of book. If you love things like True Blood - then you will enjoy this. Very episodic, fun characters, interesting plot, - it’s just missed the mark a little bit for me. Perfect for someone wanting to try horror!

I love love LOVE Cormac’a writing - from what I have read so far. The violence was graphic, intense, and, at times, stomach churning. I was surprised at how many themes and elements were present in the story that I enjoyed, and how much I absolutely could not tolerate The Judge.

What a dark delight of a book!!! Loved Brian’s writing style - that is simple and extremely effective. I caught myself a few times being surprised and, yes, grossed out. A gripping story from the get go wrapped in a macabre nightmare. Loved it!
