A story involving romance and a rescue dog was bound to capture my heart which is why I jumped at the chance to be on the tour for this wonderful book and it did not disappoint.
I really enjoyed this book, the character development was an unexpected bonus for me (it was SO much more than a flat romance). It covered some quite deep topics in Will and Margot's past, but dealt with them quite well.
I, of course, was blown away by love for Blossom and how she clearly was the star of the book, obviously always getting her way! I loved her little personality and how it shone through, it was written very well.
Overall it was a fun, easy to read romance which tugged at all of my heart strings. Definitely a contemporary romance i'd recommend to you especially if you love dogs! I have rated it a strong 4 out of 5 stars.

The first part of the book brings you straight away into Nora's mind and her depressive thoughts. It was a little heavy hitting but I think done well! It explores her past, what her regrets are and fills in some of the other characters backstories.

Once we were introduced to the Library the story took a complete turn and it had me completely hooked, as if it were a thriller. I really loved exploring each one of Nora's lives with her, the heartbreak, the discoveries and the disappointment. The descriptions were enthralling and captivating.

The overall message of this book was uplifting and beautiful. One that causes you to reflect on your life, your regrets and outlook. A story of hope, written exquisitely from start to finish. My first Matt Haig book, which will be recommending to everyone and anyone.

The way this story written is so compelling. It features standard narrative, news articles, interviews and tweets. It really brings the story alive, it’s was entirely conceivable that this could be a real case. I was gripped the whole way through on what had happened to Daisy. The ending felt slightly anticlimactic but I think that’s is only down to the hype surrounding why I picked it up in the first place. Standing in its own merit I think that was a fantastic book, written exceptionally well.

This book was ok, I didn’t really buy into the supernatural aspect of it and wasn’t shocked or wowed at any point.

It was an easy read and was fairly enjoyable, but wasn’t the best. Hopefully the rest of the McLean series is better/more realistic...

The first half of this book was amazing based on such a good premise. Then I’m not sure why, but it took a turn for the worse.

There are so many unanswered questions and I’m not sure the ending even makes sense?

Disappointed as I really loved it in the beginning!

I won this book in a Giveaway and I haven’t read #1, so this was read as a stand alone. I didn’t notice any problems with not having read the first one.

There we’re multiple strands of the story line that don’t get tied up and I’m not sure I was overly impressed with the ending. However, this was an easy book to read with lots of action and crossed love stories.

I had to force myself to finish this book. I wasn’t drawn back to reading it each time I put it down.

The premise is very interesting and I think it could have been so much more but nothing really seemed to happen and I didn’t really feel anything!

I lost interest in this book about half way through but I powered through and I’m glad I did! When the plot actually started to materialise I got more interested.

I like all the characters and the premise, it could probably have been a little more concise though!
