Story was interesting. Pacing was a bit off at times. Good setup for the rest of the trilogy. Looking forward to finding out what happens next.

This was a solid sequel, the characters developed more and we saw bit more depth with our main crew. HOWEVER, the additional characters were not as fleshed out as I feel they could've been and felt more like sprinkles instead of a necessary ingredient. Also again felt the pacing was off in some parts. The twist at the end was a little contrived, but overall it was enjoyable and I definitely want to finish the trilogy! 3.75 / 5 Stars

I will say I started this with a sour feeling as I didn't like the sudden ending revelation of book 2. Siren made up for that. What a fantastic end to trilogy. I only wish we had had a bit more Ito and a bit more Terra as their parts of the story really important.

I stayed up until 3 Am to finish this book. I really like the personal journey the main protagonist takes. She's very human, very raw, but strong, and I think the decisions that she internally wrestles with even though in a "viking" setting are very relevant to things we all wrestle with. Beautifully written. If you like a good Viking Story with a little bit of romance, definitely recommend.

This book was fun. And it kept me in my toes. Alessandra of such a witty and sassy main character.

I loved this story. It was not as predictable as you might think and it showed such great character development. The strong female lead Rasmira is an awesome character. Viking and survival themes. Not a lot of fantasy in the sense of magic but not elements. Definitely recommend.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
I am devastated this book is over. I LOVED the premise and the setting for this story. It revolves around magical libraries and magical books. Do not let that fool you. It is enchanting and mesmerizing and rich. Elisabeth is the main character who is spunky, chaotic, and her desire to do good and coming to terms in what that looks like is very enjoyable and interesting. The magic system is unique and different in such a good way. 5/5 I seriously have read so many amazing books so far this year. But this one is threatening to put me in a book hangover.

This is really a 4.75 star but I'm rounding up. Absolutely an incredibly powerful book with a very strong female lead. My only complaint is the magic system in this book I wish had a bit more explanation and description. That's it. That's my only complaint. I love the authentic and honest POV from a young black girl. Definitely recommend this book
