Ugh why??? I loved the first two, but this 3rd book just had so much... internal monologue. Very little action, and like... no conclusion??? Very very disappointed.

The perfect Christmas book, no spice, just good old fashioned romance with the local eligible bachelors that results in no major drama and a happy ending!

Just to be clear, this has almost nothing to do with Christmas. It is a cute little story, that has a moody mysterious handsome neighbor that becomes the boyfriend in the end, but it actually is about Jenny who has lots of family issues and finds a new family in this sleepy little town. If I hadn't been looking specifically for a Christmas book (how dare I assume with such a title), then this might have rated higher for me. Zero spice, barely any Christmas.

I'm biased because I love everything Frederick Backman has ever published, but I did think this was an adorable short story, particularly funny if you have ever lived in an apartment or condo building. A quick read, and while it is not holiday related at all, it does give warm and fuzzy feelings that pair well with hot cocoa and reading by the fire!

I LOVED this book. Trashy the trash golem lives in a hole by himself. Until he doesn't  anymore and he gains a family of an unlikely grouping of very lovable characters. It does feel a bit slow in the beginning, before you gain more insight into the world and magic systems. It definitely isn't too much though, and once you get going, it is hard to put down! I feel like the author's humor is like a cross between Christopher Moore and Neil Gaiman in Good Omens. I loved it and I very much hope there is a sequel!

This was a great queer coming of age story that showed the right amount of heart, and what a first love can do to a young person. The main character makes a lot of mistakes, but then again, which first love isn't messy?
