This is the first Delicious in Dungeon that had a lot more continuous and flowing chapters – multiple parts about the dragon, of course. Which was a good move, I think. Lots of action.
Falin’s back and a dun, dun, dun! moment at the end.

I spent the beginning of this book being mostly confused (rooms in minds? power generators?), the middle section enjoying it a bit more and the end thinking that it was all very rushed. As is often the case with multiple POV books, I got on better with one character’s story than the others – Cain. When the storylines overlapped a bit, I enjoyed that but, again, it all felt rushed. Maybe I’m just used to more detailed books.

Definitely the best graphic novel I’ve read this year so far. The artwork is wonderful. So colourful and dynamic. Those space scenes – wow! But it’s the story and the characters that really pulled me in. A really great premise and I can’t wait to read more (I hope there’s more, the ending suggests so but I haven’t double checked).

Another super fun Space Team book. I’m not sure I’m going to manage to read all 12 or however many books there are but for now I’m finding them to be entertaining and easy reads. And Splurt’s back. Yay.

A great continuation of the story. Nice that Frieren has gained another travelling companion. And a cliffhanger ending. Yep, I’m hooked.

I bought this in the Forbidden Planet sale for £2 and I’m glad I didn’t pay any more for it because it was kind of nothing-y. It was so short that the story just flew by instantly but, at the same time, nothing really happened. It feels like a preview or trial comic for something that could be bigger and better but no idea if that’s actually the case.

Not quite as good as the first book, maybe just because I was already more familiar with the main characters, but a great continuation of the story nonetheless and it feels like we’re setting up for an exciting book three. The artwork is absolutely the best part of Kaya. The style, the flow of the frames, the use of colour. It’s all very inventive too.

I’d had this on my to read list based on someone else’s review and then saw that I could read it digitally on the Viz Manga app so took the plunge. I didn’t really know anything about it (I haven’t watched the anime yet) but wow. Such a beautiful story that I feel like I’m only just starting. Very moving.
