this book changed me! i absolutely loved this book SOOOOO MUCH!!! truly one of the best books i’ve ever read.

january and gus’s relationship was so insanely adorable and romantic i loved them so much and the plot of this book was EVERYTHING!

there are so many beautiful messages in that book about love, grieve, difficult family situations and there were so many great quotes that just really hit me and really struck me in a way that I wasn’t expecting this book to impact me the way it did! I wasn’t expecting it to be so deep and real and I just really enjoyed it.

this was cute! so many people have been telling me to read Emily Henry so I had very high expectations going into this book.

overall, I thought it was a cute story, I instantly fell in love with alex and poppy individually as characters. they are such a great pair and I really loved their story. I also thought the banter was great and it was genuinely really funny, i very rarely ever laugh out loud when i read.

The reason I gave this a 3.75 is because I didn’t love as much as I was anticipating. I feel like there were definitely moments where it dragged on and this book was definitely way too long and did not have to be as long as it was.

I found myself just being bored and trying to just get through it to find out what happened and for them to get together. but once they did get together, I thought that their love was very adorable and their monologues that they were given to each other. I thought they were super cute!!!

I was expecting what happened in Croatia to be a lot bigger and make a lot more sense as to why they stopped talking for 2 years. they hyped up their disconnect so much throughout the entire book, the whole time your going through the years waiting to find out what actually happened, and when I read the chapter I was just underwhelmed since this was the reason they stopped talking and threw away 10 years of friendship.

but aside from that, and a few other problems I had with it, (the sad puppy dog eye thing got old the first time. WHY DID THEY KEEP BRINGING IT UP IT WAS SO CRINGE) I thought it was a cute book!
