It was good. Liked the story. Kyron is still the worst 😂 Denver is still my favourite Steele brother though.

This was a very good, well thought out, well-written, thought provoking and insightful book. Jada did her big one with this. It felt very truthful and honest and I left this book with a better understanding of who Jada is. I felt like I was on the journey with her to get to know who she is bc she'd lost herself so long ago. Oftentimes we get lost in being a wife, mother, house manager & having our own careers that we just don't take time for us and lose sight of who we are. We also don't realize how childhood fears and traumas shape our lives into adulthood. Both Jada and Will have a lot of similar childhood traumas they just react to them differently. Will might make a joke or might shut down completely but he always smiles through it as if it doesn't affect him. A trauma response. Jada on the other hand would lash out, curse, self soothe with alcohol & "grown up time" 😉 and eventually she deferred to Will's go-to method of coping by smiling through it. The problems or perceived problems they have in their marriage is not for me to judge bc those are their problems and they deal with them accordingly. And what works for them may not work for others. Especially those not in their tax bracket. Bc what they go through on a daily basis and what they've gone through for the last 30 years is what my mawmaw would say are "rich people's problems". And idk nothing about that. But my biggest takeaways from this book are that she loves Will deeply. And at times she's loved this man more than she loved herself. Gotta keep in mind she met this married man when she was very young, inexperienced in relationships and new to her fame so she hadn't quite figured out who Jada was as a celebrity or Jada the adult. Shes been with this man her whole entire adult life. And I can understand where she's coming from in that aspect bc I've been with my husband since I was 18. I've been with him longer as an adult than I was a child. And sometimes you just need to find yourself and figure out who you are separately and aside from being someone's wife or mom. She loves and adores her children. And she also loves and is loved deeply by her friends. And that is a blessing. Bc she still has a lot of the same friends from early childhood and her teen years. Everybody can't say that. I also loved the questions she would ask. Seemed like it was those questions you get in therapy. Your "homework". And the recommendation of books that have helped her along her journey. I will be picking them up. Overall great book. I would recommend to anybody who just wants to figure out how to find your true self and know your worth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was so good! From the first page until the very last. This is a nice, sweet, beautiful love story. I loved the characters and their development. Legit the character development was top tier. I loved Taylor and Rahlo. They just wanted peace, happiness, love and adult time 😋. But the star of the show for me was Kiki! Kiki is that friend everybody needs. She loved her friend with her whole heart. There wasn't in jealousy or competition between them. Kiki just wanted her girl to be happy, healthy, paid and loved on correctly. I also loved Rah's sister Esha. She loved her brother so wholeheartedly. It's refreshing to see that if they had nobody else they had each other. Also there was no jealousy from Esha to Rah about his fame. She just wanted him to win and didn't want anything in return. Until others in his family. Taylor's whole family was a vibe and I enjoyed them every time they were on the pages. And little Trooper, he was something else. But Papa was my guy! Von and Kool were cool too. Now to the characters I didn't like Emory and Duke. Emory was a terrible, jealous, good for nothing mom. And Duke was a terrible, jealous, hating, got nothing going for himself friend. And don't even get me started on Jasper, Jada and Sherri! Thee worst! Overall great story. Very well written and put together. I laughed A LOT! I was sad, heartbroken, happy, overjoyed, angry, wanted to curse and put the paws on people. Just an array of emotions. If I could rate it might I would.

Meh! It was just blah. It was a short story I guess but I'm not sure if there's gonna be an extension of the book in the future or if that was it. The last 2 words were "time & place". Not "coming soon" or "to be continued". So idk but it was just ok. Didn't like the way it ended

Story is still good. It's crazy! I still don't like Maurice. Even Terrence was working me. Felt like it was too short though. Maybe it was just that fast paced. But I need part 3 NOW!!!

This has been a beautiful series. I love the love Shabu and Savvy have for each other. I love her relationship with Michi and Much it's relationship with Titan. I really wouldn't mind another book about these characters. I love their growth and development. But I just need a lil more. Like maybe a book about Relic or a book about Los and his backstory bc I need to know who this mystery first love was and why he played my girl Nu like that. Overall great story. Wonderful introduction to a new author I plan to check out more of because this lady can write a book baybeeeeeee!!!!

Shabu! Shabu! Shabu! Oh how I love you Shabu! The twist and turns of this series are top tier. This is hands down one of the nest books I've read this year and possibly ever. It so good I don't have the words. I love these characters, the story, their growth, their dysfunction and their regressions. Love is life and life is love and this love story is a book of life. The good, the bad, the ugly and the sad. This book and series is absolutely, fantastically beautiful. Now on to book 3.

Whew! This book was so good! I'm telling you the storyline and storytelling is utter perfection! This is a new to me author and dare I say off of this 1 book she's definitely in my top 10. I just wanna go on the record and say I loved Shabu from the first mention of him. That's a Haitian king right there! And Savvy and Michi what a life they've had to endure. And ain't nothing worse than when the people that are supposed to protect you don't. I laughed so many times in this book. Was angered. Was happy. Sad. Disgusted. And even teared up because I unfortunately have been where these girls are and my family is just like theirs. This book was beyond phenomenal.

This is a new to me author and I can see now this won't be my last time reading something from her. Now to the book...story was really good. Captured my attention from the first page and didn't let go. I really like Devil. The name might suggest he's a bad person but I don't see it. Lol my guy is just misunderstood. Loved Ashleigh and her ability to not let all the things kyron did to her break her. Because kyron is a dog! Like Denver and Maria as well and I think I have an idea of what is going on with Desert but I could be wrong. Overall really good story, character growth and development. Nice, quick read. This lady can really write and you can tell this is her passion bc it was edited to perfection. I'm a sucker for a well written, well edited book. Just take all my money.
