I'd heard a lot of praise for this work, and loved Islington's Licanus Trilogy so was very excited by the idea of this. It was a tense, fast paced adventure, and while the world feels like there's SO much more to it this was one great introduction.

As we're nearing the end of saga, this book certainly takes things to the next level in some areas while leaving a little to be desired in others. Truly enjoyed the arc of Tarsha, and Dar. Drisker's was also a big "win" in this book. Ajin's story while drawn out was still enjoyable but felt very slow in comparision, although admitedly the whole book took place over what seemed to be a very long time. Great read though

It might just be the timing in my life that I find this conclusion to this part of the Shannara mythos to be so close to home. But I think the characters in this book and the struggles of the personal relationships that take place even while everything else that is going on feels world altering it's the characters that really sold this one for me.

Much like the rest of the Shannara novels this was a fun read. I enjoy the tale but it's not a work that blows me away at all.

This is one wild conclusion to the series. Both times I've read it I've come away with different things. I have certain questions that remain, but I think that's the point of the work. The series as a whole, asks us to look at ourselves as humans and if you engage with this and don't I'd be wildly surprised.

This novel us interesting in that it feels wildly disconnected from the events of the war that has been set up over the last three books but it's telling of that war is tense because you feel far more helpless and you can understand the pain of distance that the novel seems to be dealing with.

A fun read, decided to pick it up to lift my spirits a little in a moment of heartbreak. I was very surprised to find just how much I related to both of the main characters, and loved their story
